    Default Professions and WOLK

I got WOLK yesterday and noticed that my professions are a bit low. Skinning, Alchemy and Herb are at 375, but Enchant and LW are both under 300.

So now the question is, I can buy the knothide leather and boost my LW up to 375. However, getting my enchanting up to the level where I can DE items from WOLK will be very very expensive and difficult.

What have you all done to boost your Enchanting?

I wouldn't sugjest dooing that, yes you may make some profit, but look at it this way, with new exp and people not even having all chant recipies yet..... Mats are ten time more worth then vender trashing them.

have one toon in your group in its own guild to get its own personal guild bank (the chanter of the group) and just have it get all bop/boe items. Hold them in the guild bank and then at 80 bo back and power level to 375 and then go to the guild bank and level up with that stuff.

all of my shamans are enchanters along with me owning my own guild (hate other guilds). when i was leveling in BC on my shamans (not to long ago) i made about 700 more gold selling the greens rather then DE'ing them, then the greens I made with skinning / cloth mats I DE. Plus i'm planning on leveling all 4 of my current box groups to 80 along with a possible mix group of my other 80's so not worried about gold income since its gonna skyrocket with dailies.

Thats not a good comparison. The enchanting mats in BC a month or two ago were worth very little compared to when the game was first released. WoTLK enchanting mats are worth a fortune right now because everyone is trying to level their enchanting to 450. This makes the enchanting mats worth far more than the green vendor price.

Exactly. Same for leather, ore, herbs, and everything else. You can choose right now - stockpile/use stuff to level as well, or sell into the demand, and sock the profits away for later.

Me, I'm selling into the demand, *and* stockpiling. One stack for me, one for the AH. The only thing I'm getting a lot of is leather, so that's the focus right now - and it's selling VERY well.

The only other money maker I have right now is *one* minor glyph for Death Knights, seems to be only one other person on my server who makes it, and I undersold him over the weekend for 400g. This won't last long, but you gotta grab the cash when you can!

I really need to start covering the Horde AH. Sigh...

From a min/max point of view, sell all the ore/herbs/skins/enchant mats now.
Stockpile the gold you make from it.

Down the road 2 months or whenever your last team reaches 80th.
Purchase raw materials with the stockpiled gold.

Have a lot of gold left over.

You only need to get your skills to 350 to get to Grand Master, then you will find new skills from the Grand Master trainer to take it from 350 upwards. There is no need to go to 375 before training up.

E.g. You can get the recipe for Borean Armor Kits from the Leatherworking Grand Master at 350 - these don't go yellow until 375 and only need 4 pieces of Borean Leather to make, on other words a very cheap way to get from 350 to 375.

Getting LW to 350 shouldn't be that hard - you can either buy the knothide leather, or head over to Nagrand and kill a crapload of mobs. You can also DE the green items you make from LW for the mats to raise your Enchant skill.

    Cheers,
