Yea a lot of people complain about quest in hellfire that give you still that you don't replace until heroic/raids. This is why they didn't do in the wrath. They also said that equipment will not be that much of a difference how original and bc where.

tbc changed itemization formulas so that stamina "cost" less on an item, therefore TBC items had HUGE stamina boosts on every single piece of gear, making it worth grabbing green/blue stuff over much of pre-TBC -- although T3 was still decent going into Karazhan. Also TBC introduced gem sockets.

in contrast formulas haven't changed and there are no new things, so its a minor progression. Even still, by the time you 74 you should start seeing upgrades, after all, the first zones are meant to be doable by people in green 68 gear so it can't be massive upgrades.

I'd have to disagree. Howvengefulling Fjord quest rewards are iLvl 138 and Utgarde Keep drops are iLvl 155 and only require L70.

To compare

Arena S3 set - iLvl 146
T6 Raid set - iLvl 146-154
T5 Raid set - iLvl 133

You have to compare item quality in addition to ilevel. A green item of iLevel 155 will almost always be slgithly worse than a blue item of iLevel 138 which will be worse than a epic item of iLevel 125.

another update
I did all instance grind from 70-72...it got really tedious and boring tbh, I was getting around 370k ish exp per hour or so.

Anyway, last boss in DTK comes with little surprise, he changes whole team into ghouls and changes all Your abilities, took me one wipe to figure out what to do, but after that it was cake walk =D

Doing Gundrak atm, Im lvl 74 on all 5, 1st boss was easy, 2nd boss is pita, when he lets the water elemental it gets pretty healing intensive....but afrter 2nd try:

One of the major factor is wow is gear and untill you get a certain gear/level you cant beat a encouter.. When you do have the gear its about skill.

My tank got 350 defence and 10k hp if the first boss in UK is allowed to spam shadowbolts even with shadow aura up there barley is time to dps as he hits my tank for 2-3k shadow bolts and he fires em fast.

A easy way is to just los abuse him and force him to meele, i would imagine the fight would be different with spell reflect.. (if it can be reflected) The fight is realy easy if i always got my tank in range of fire nova totems and thunderstorm, but a normal tank and spank fails 9/10 times.
