Macaroon and Mounted combat bar

Haven't had alot of time to play with it but the last thing I was able to do before coming to work was a quest in which I mount a Wooly Mammoth Bull and a combat bar is supposed to come up. I tried turning on the blizzard bars and didn't get it. I didn't disable everything, which is my next step just so I can get through the quest.

For more clarity, my understanding is that I should get a bar (not really a pet bar - though it could be but I have a functioning pet bar) that is for mounted combat. I am not getting it.

Anyone already past this quest that is using macaroon?

Downloaded the latest release of macaroon (Macaroon_30000.rc.28.1.zip) and the config won't hold. getting errors and everytime I login all my bars are in the middle and on top of each other.

Going back to Version: 30000.2210 (beta)


(the possess bar wasn't working right- thats why I updated - If, after I was on, I /mac config and cycled through bar states, buttons would come up when I cycled back around to possess - but they wouldn't come up with out the little rig-a-ma-roll)

My issue may or may not be related. I am not running Macaroon, but I have a custom art interface installed. While running the DK starter area if I mounted a horse for the "steal a horse" quest, or the dragon to kill the humans and ballistas, my hotbar would completely disappear. I assume that the artwork is messing it up as I have no bar mods installed. So everytime I ran into one of those quests I had to /console reloadui to get it to show up.

Very frustrating.

Download the latest maccarron and Make your main bar a possessed bar. Go through the bar options until you get to the possessed bit and then just add the buttons you need. I think 6 was enough for me during the zombie event. Im not sure how many skills you get on a mount bar.

I havent tested this btw, im just going off what other people have been saying elsewhere on the mod forum and how i got it to work during the zombie event for my 5 guys.

Macaroon_30000.rc.28.1.zip is the latest I found. It loses the postion of all my bars everytime I log, it just dumps them atop one another in the center of my screen. ( i realize thats a different problem than the original - buts its FYI)

During the zombie event, when I went zombie, my petbar was were all my zombie buttons appeared. Unfortunatly, Macharoon didn't always display my pet bar when I transformed into a zombie. The only workaround that I found was that the Petbar would usually appear (with the correct zombie buttons) once I opened and closed the Mac configuation menu.

I too had the same problem with that mammoth quest and Macaroon, but i didn't get a chance to try the workaround, before I died :S

If I come up with anything more solid, I will try to update this post.

when you make a bar a possess bar in macaroon it shows as is for the current state you are in. Ie as a possess bar when you are not a zombie or mounted etc it will show what you would see in your "normal" state. when you do become "possessed it switched state and you have to configure the bar at that point for the Possess state.

ex:
you make bar 1 your main AB and also your posess bar.
Un posessed or in your normal combat or non combat state the bar shows bar 1
when you mount, become a zombie, do the frost wyrm mission for starter DKs your bar changes to a different version of bar 1 and you must then configure the bar as normal.
so mount up > bar edit > add buttons to your posess bar as normal.

i hope this makes sense. i figured this out the hard way when doing the DK quest.
