Default Completely nooby to dual boxing.

Ok, i know my desktop can run 2 wow applications easy, I have currently a 70 rogue, 70 priest and i'm looking into a warrior + shaman combo.

The thing is, i will use raf to get these toons up, however i have no clue where to start or what to do.

The tauren warrior will be my main and the shaman the follower.

Is there any programs that split the screen so i can loot quest items on my shammy or do i have to tab?

Also whats a good macro for my shammy to heal my warrior? and should i use totems or what to help do extra damage?

i'm completely confused and i know you're the pros so please help

I read it but i don't understand it lol.

that guide just comes up with errors

well first you need to have an application that will broadcast your keystrokes to both WoW windows.

once you have that figured out, you will need to come up with a targeting method. this is contained in the wiki.

once you get the targeting method down, we can then kinda help you.

note that the answer to your question is YES, you can do that. BUT, are you using /assist? /focus? or /cast [target=targettarget] to target your mobs (hence picking a targeting method)?

Basically my current situation is me messing about on my account and my friends trying to work stuff out.

I won't buy my own other account until i know i can do this. Its turning my brain to liquid so far.

sorry, i have no idea what you're trying to describe when you say "messing about". that could mean anything. if you have a specific issue, then sure, we can help. but from what you've said right there, i'd say, stop messing about.

Ok lets start again.

I am COMPLETELY new to this.

I have a single desktop which can run 2 wow applications.

I have 1 keyboard 1 mouse.

I want;

a) a macro that will allow my second character to heal the main via the mains interface.
b) a macro that will allow my second character to follow via the mains interface
c) a macro that accepts quests on my second character via my mains interface.
d) a macro that auto loots when its the second characters loot. (for questing)
e) Is a Warrior (main) Druid (healer) combo possible.

that is all

that is all
You need to set up key broadcasting ("Multiplex Emulators" on Wiki:Software.) There's no way to make an in-game macro to send commands to your follower.

What that will do is when you press a key, like '0', it will send it to both windows. On your main you bind that key to nothing, and on your follower you bind the 0 key to a macro something like "/target MainName, /cast Heal". You'll also set up macros to stuff like "/follow MainName", "/script AcceptQuest()" Much more information available here: http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macros

D is not possible, there's no way to automate/macro looting. You'll have to manually loot quest items.

DPS+Healer (warrior+druid) is a very common and easy dual-boxing combination.
