guys are problem solvers. so its no surprise that most of the replies in this thread was a suggestion on how to solve the problem.

Pretty much everything in this thread is exactly why I don't play on a PVP server. It's fun for about the first few days then it just gets annoying as hell.

yea that's one thing. but i do enjoy the incertainty of playing in a pvp server and, though i get my butt kicked sometimes by groups of people, i do find having the option to attack an opposing faction's member in any contested territory an awesome facet to the game. i sometimes wonder why there are factions without forced open world pvp.

With the new PvP zone in Lich King there really is no point to PvP servers. Want to world PvP? Go to Lake Wintergrasp. Want to level in peace? Don't go to Wintergrasp. In fact if they allow Magtheridon a free transfer off to PvE I will take it in a heartbeat. If it didnt cost so much money they would have been moved long ago.

This is exactly why so many people that play on PvE servers have no idea why those of us that enjoy PvP play on PvP servers.

Why would I want to ONLY be able to PvP by going to Lake Wintergrasp? How is this different then ONLY being able to PvP by entering any other battleground?

I want UNPLANNED PvP - the kind that happens when NEITHER side is necessarily thinking about PvPing at that moment. This happens, for instance, when I'm out questing, and I see an alliance out questing, and I decide I'm going to kill him. Or when I'm fighting a mob, and an alliance attacks me, and I have a chance to own him and then still get the kill on my mob - THIS is why I like being on a PvP server. I don't care that ganking comes along with it, its part of the thrill whether I'm on the sending or receiving end.

I can't stand it when people say "XXXX is why PvP servers don't need to exist". People who say this really have no idea what the point of a PvP server is. Hint: Its not to be forced to PvP in a single zone, location, instance, battleground, or whatever.

which is why blizz have pvp servers and normal servers. different strokes for different folks and you're able to play whichever you choose.

but... what i dont understand are those that roll pvp, get ganked, then complain about it like its not supposed to happen.

people are just assholes...thats why i refuse to play on pvp servers. idc if people consider pve realms weak or not, ive got better things to do than worry about whether im gonna get ganked when im not even bothering anyone.

I enjoy PvP servers for just that reason. Where is the challenge in killing AI? I like killing the AI while watching for PvP opportunities. Risk vs. Reward.

Ironically, the area of WoW which multiboxers haven't been able to scratch is the cutting edge PVE raiding.
