This sort of behavior bothers me so much that I moved to a PVE server over it. If he actually waited for 8 hours online then he probably is mentally ill, but there are ways that he could have known you were back online without actively playing the game the whole time. For example, having an alt on your faction with you on his buddy list. Either way, a lot of people out there have issues, and surely this person is one of them.

If he instantly kills you over and over when you rez over the course of 8 hours and only moves to kill you, that sounds like someone needs to open a botting report.

No, if it was a botter the bot would have gone back to reading its path / profile killing mobs on its course. Also its very unlikely that a 70 would be botting in common questing area out of fear of discovery. Sounds more like a douche bag than a botter.

No there are botter pvp programs out there that you can have it stand in one place and auto kill the person. However this is very suspicious activity and will(should) be noticed right away and threatens to get person banned. I know we are not supposed to talk about botting here, but trust me I have seen some very good stuff in botting.

If nothing else, you can take solace from the knowledge that you went out, did the washing, and watched tv, while he.....camped you.

Does nobody else use a spirit healer to res in these cases? Or switch to another team?

I do have to admit having a sandwich while people camp me is entertaining though.

Had a hunter camping me and my bro in 60 :P we killed him twice then he followed us on flying mount until 1 was lowed killed him and ran away:P was camping us 2 houers^^
Reason he did it was that it was more horde than alliance on the server so he was running around killing lowbies^^

I don't mind fair play, but holy smokes, 8+ hours of corpse camping? That person is seriously disturbed. AFAIK that would be considered harassment and is a reportable offense (based on a GM response I read on the official forums regarding a similar issue - I don't know if there is an official written policy though).

Someone needs to create a "Goons for Hire" guild....

I fail to see how this would be harassment. You always had the option to Spirit Res.

Now, if he was camping the Spirit then I could understand.

I agree with it probably being a bot btw. It's stupidly simply to set up a program like glider to do what he did just to screw with you.

Corpse camping is not reportable on a pvp server...says somewhere in one of the descriptions of pvp servers that it does and will happen so "bring a friend." Camping people for 30min or so is fun sometimes, 8hours is some sort of sick dedication I can't match. Maybe he is part of "goons for hire" and was hired to camp you :P

Yes, generally that is probably true. But if it's deemed excessive I believe it is "frowned upon" and I am sure they could take some action. The thread I read, which was linked from this site - sorry I don't know have the link to the thread-, described someone following around a MBer all day and trying to kill them. The GM stated it would be considered harassment. I am thinking 8 hours of camping would fall under that category. Of course, the spirit rez is a good counter argument and I would have to agree with you on that.

The person could be a dual/multi boxer too. You could easily solo play on one toon while the other just sits there watching and waiting to kick your arse.

people are just assholes...thats why i refuse to play on pvp servers. idc if people consider pve realms weak or not, ive got better things to do than worry about whether im gonna get ganked when im not even bothering anyone.
