    Default PIP FPS problems

This is probably a setup issue on my part, but I wanted to see if there was a fix or setting for this:

I run dual displays with a maximized boost toon on the primary display and 2 of my RAF alts on the second screen. The screens are 900x600 all using the same WoW installation. The problem is this: when I move one of the alts using the PIP keys my framerate drops to about 5fps (from 45-60) and never goes back even when the toons are all back in the right order. I am assuming that I have a setting marked incorrectly or that I need to change my resolutions.

Any suggestions or additional information I can provide to make the problem a little more clear? Unfortunately searching PIP and FPS doesn't play well with the search.

I have been having this problem with my new rig as well. I never had the issue with my other pc ( i have two beefy rigs ) I have to minimize to fix it. sometimes when I PiP its all good. Most the time they all go to hell ( 1-3FPS ) and i have to minimize them and restore them to undo it. Cant figure it out. It is set up exactly like my old one. Same OS and everything.
Currently 5 Boxing 5 Protection Paladins on Whisperwind Alliance

    Default RE: PIP FPS problems

The only fix i've been able to find for running pip for multiple windows setup is having all of the screens on the same monitor with the alt screens being tiny, I don't have a clue why putting them on the second monitor cuts my fps literally by 3/4 (especially since i have a second video card the other monitors running on) but this seems to be the only fix... its either 1 main and 4 minis all on one screen for good fps or the alternative of having one main and the rest minimized...

Which brings me to another question while were here... I like being able to have the windows hotkeyed so I can hit F1-F5 to swap them but is their possible a way to do that with either pip or another feature of keyclone for single rigs that want to run high fps but don't need all 5 visible at the same time (for single class teams) while running around lvling or w/e ?

i get the same effect when i put my alts on the 2nd screen. i was told it had something to do with the nvidia drivers, but i have not yet tested the new one that was released about 2 weeks ago.

try updating the driver and see if it helps.
