    Default monitor mounting.

I just picked up 3 more monitors so i went from 2 to 5 and i was wondering how and what are some good methods to mount these, i have been looking and you see all these setups, and then i did some research and all the mounts i can find would only do straight across. I have no problem pulling out my tools and making my own but i was wondering how fellow multiboxers were creating their setups. eg buying mounts or making w/e

edit: i know i just made this a two in one thread but i was also wondering since with 3.0.2 and gfx updates is there a good barebones set out there that will last through this next expansion. im looking to dump quite a bit of money here so i would like something to last.

I have not started on my mock up yet, but im almost in the same boat, i was debating buying 2 erogtronic stands which range from 150 to 250, which is way to much for what i need, and then i ahve seen other peopels setup going to home depo and spending 50 to 70 bucks and not even that much half the time, buying some good peices of wood, already pre-beveled and then building your own stands that go vertical.

Thats what i will mostly likely be doing myself, well actually ill be ahving one of the guys in my office do it for me since he is better that that kind of things.

Im using a 22in center and 4 19" acer wide screens the sides, 2 on each, so im having him build 2 stands that can support there own weight Plus 2 monitors without falling foward, and hes also helping me build a swing arm for my slave PCs keyboard and mouses that i can swing out of the way when i dont need them.

Multi-monitor stands are crazy expensive IMO and it really annoys me. I built my vertical stand myself and it wasn't too much trouble. When I go to my 7 monitor setup (still vapor ware until I actually spend the $$$) then I'll definitely have to build it, haven't even seen anything like what I'm after.

One thing that I got hung up with on my first stand was making it all swively and tilting. The reality was though that I set it in position and never touched it again. So for my 7 setup I'm going to design it statically for my purpose. This makes things MUCH simpler and you probably won't miss much. If you have access to a welder and associated tools then go for the make-your-own, save some money, and get something that truly fits your needs.

kinda what i thought, my setup will only need 2 of them to swivel the rest are static, so ill write up some schematics and get on that, if they turn out good enough ill post a pic
