I don't know which team you're running but it's either shadow damage (aura) or physical damage he does (aura/totems).
Also, if he's got 120k hp(*2), well, he goes down really really fast and won't have much time for a lot if all of his special tricks. I remember that I only knew about the phoenixes of Kael'thas in MgT H when I started running with my paladin instead of 5 shaman

I haven't fought this boss, but wowhead has strats on him. I'd be impressed if a 5 cloth/mail team can do him at 70, will be interesting to see. If you do have a tank, it seems like its a much easier fight -- casters get to max range, tank stays in. He cast a silence spell, but it only takes effect if you are casting when he casts it -- so just jump your casters if you see his cast bar doing Dreadful Roar. I don't see how Earth Elementals can tank him, since he will 1 shot them when he does his specials and then come and rape the ranged.

He also has a couple spells that will do massive (10k+) damage to the tank, but only if the tank is in front of him. The strats simply suggest that when the tank sees this spell being cast (2 secs) to move "through" the boss behind him, then once its done move back in front.

There is lots of periodic AoE dmg in the fight, and targeted AoE as well, so spreading out is good. I might spec one of my shamans resto, things take longer to die but if you are running an instance 10+ times it makes it easier if you can just spam 1 button and it takes care of healing tank and DPSing too.

Be fun anyways to experiment I think a good mix of instance and questing will be nice. I quickly perused Jame's leveling guide and there are a *TON* of collection quests in the 70-72 zones, I'd rather instance and mindlessly and loot with my main rather than constantly having to loot quest drops on every character.

I like instances simply because it saves a lot of hazzle. I might do quests to get a break from the grind depending on how crowded the zones are though.

If you can 2 man it at 72 five shaman teams should be able to do it ~70.

Some of the quest leveling guides are promising approximately 24 hours /played, for 70 to 80 via questing.

That has to assume you're able to complete the quests without 709 players in the same small area each trying to tag the mob before you.
The masses will slow the pace down considerably, but even so, optimal questing will be half the time of instancing all the way.

So the question is, how quickly can you quest with a lot of competition for mobs vs instance with just your group?

I have a sort of setup ready...
I quadbox shamans, my best ingame friend is a warrior tank...
Prime time we will go nonstop instances, and during the nights we will go questing....
Aiming for 80before monday hits and Naxx pug/guild run before wednesday.

Guild is currently clearing SSC-TK and 4/5MH 7/9BT... did that the last few weeks... All shammies on every raid on every boss...
Teron is.. interesting... But all bosses have proved to be multiboxable Did most of them pre-nerf too.
So the base gear is ok, and my tank can take shitloads of damage before he needs heals...
Starting the leveling experience on friday 17.00 gametime
Will get 200-300 food/water on each of the boys and then go pew pew until sundown on sunday
Banks are cleaned out, bags are empty.

The guilds goal is to be the #1 guild on Xavius EU alliance side (Wich isnt that hard)
The GM has previosly stated that the only time 3of the pants have to sit out is when we are on farm runs to gear people up.
They are always in progress raids, and will most likely continue to be so in the 25man instances in wolk
    Mulitboxing four shamen.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I won't be leveling a full group the first time through. I want to quest and enjoy the content, which I can't do if I grind instances with a full group, and questing with a full group is a serious pain not to mention the crowds and tells you will get from a packed starting zone.

I'm leveling my main warrior solo first to 80 doing everything, all quests and instances.

Then i'm leveling my 5 shamans through kill quests, and where there aren't any (or i've ran out/cba with them), instances.
Same I'll level my one shammy solo to do the quests, learn the maps, maybe some instances, etc. After that I'll take my multibox pallie + 4xsham through the instances and any quests I found to be worthwhile/easy/good reward.
