Thread: Speed pad

    Default Speed pad

I'm looking to pick one up for my quad shamans as I really need better mobility and I believe this is what Aelli is using. I was thinking about the Belkin n52te, anyone have another recommendation? I've seen mixed reviews on this, but its the only one I know about.

They really should sticky this: Full Gamepad list

In my opinion n52te is good enough for PvE, but not PvP. I'd recommend trying one before buying.
Looking for Multibox Guild on EU servers, Horde side. If you're into PvP it's a definite plus!

I own the older model of the n52 Nostromo, and used to use it regularly, but i really havnt found a use for it as of recently, i also use an Xkeys Pro, but only use about 10 keys off of it, i have yet to find a full use of all the available keys just yet. But they do make life easier when you do need them. I want the enw n52 to replace my old one becuase it will then match all my neons and lights in my room and on my alienware boxes.

I too used the older n52 and it was really good. Had issue with a couple of the buttons though, some have echo'd those complaints, others have refuted, so maybe it's a per device issue.

My problem was I ran out of keys with it as I hate having to use modifiers or swap key sets. So now I use the Xkeys pro and contrary to Meeo's problem, I'm still running out of keys! But I don't keyboard broadcast, the xkeys controls my 4 alts entirely so naturally I need more buttons than a broadcaster would. What's better? Broadcast or 2nd? Completely personal preference from what I can tell. I just like having one less layer of my setup that could go wrong and/or add latency. Some people rock the house with broadcast setups, and certainly the hardware broadcasters don't have the latency issues and less configuration concerns.

    get it. it helps.

keeps all your keys in an easy to learn layout. what more? set it up once to map your actionbar and some other important keys you may use and thats it. profile loads automatically so when you open wow, it works. dont have to change settings or anything after that. te's button settings are stored on the gamepad itself, so you can bring it anywhere and have the same settings. thumb pad may be hard to get used to. i like the old one where i can touch/feel which direction im going. with the circle thing above the thumbpad, its a bit annoying. overall, the original n52 is better than the n52te. but both will give you a quicker response from brain to keypress.
