Default New girlfriend... goodbye WoW :(

So after years of casually dating (irl. ya, and play wow lol) Ended up getting in what looks like an actually stable relationship.. the problem is its been several months now and all 6 of my accounts are now cancelled because I don't have time. Any estimates on when the novelty of "something new" wears off normally? I don't fall behind on leveling in WotLK..

Don't have time? How much did you play before? Why do you suddenly have no time to play?

I have a wife, a 2 year old daughter, a 50+ hour a week job, etc, and I still have time to play. I might not play 5+ hours a day but I still find time...if I was an avid WoW player and a new girlfriend of mine wanted me to spend every last second of spare time with her i'd drop her like a bad habit (but thats just me).

I was playing from the minute I get home 7pm till about 2am before going to sleep and then work. I think the timing of my guild falling apart/"friends" xferring/ wotlk coming out plus the new relationship was the perfect storm to quit. Ive been playing for i'd guess 4yrs straight... I was trying to see if anyone else experienced the same thing and if they ever came back or think they will come back to wow. my ex-guildies keep calling me to come back haha.

I tried showing her wow but shes more of a ds/wii girl and i think finds it all too confusing (ends up looking at the ground). :S

My wife doesn't play wow either...have you thought about just cutting back? Just because you can't play 7 hours a day doesn't mean you can't play 1-2 hours a day, or whatnot. Also I started multiboxing just because I DIDN'T want to have to play with anyone else

1.5 hours a day, that's the limit I set for myself. Obviously more is fine if nothing is going on and I have 4 weeks of vacation in the last 6 weeks of the year. Day to day, that's more than enough to feed the beast of time consumption.

Now, if i win the lotto and retire, well, I just might bump it up to 2 hours a day.

You should keep in mind that heroics/instance don't take anywhere near as long in WOTLK as they did in BC. Infact with a good group in BETA I was generally running a full Heroic every 30-40 mins no problem. Alot less trash in zones. Also raiding is less consumable dependent, as well as faction/rep grinding not being as much of a PITA as it was in BC.

IMHO Blizzard did a good job at making the game require less time to invest while making it more fun overall. It will still require time, just not as much as before.

Maxcom why not find some girl that likes to play wow as much as you. maybe even another multiboxer. I noticed ellette is having to quit wow because of money and your quiting wow because of honey. maybe your money and her honey could multibox together.

we'll be back in 2 + 2

I noticed how multiboxing (or gaming in general) can scare a lot of girls away
I tried explaining mboxing a few times,
but they all /shrug'ged and ran away screaming.

I have that effect on women
Real-Life is overrated,

My woman doesn't have a problem with me playing just as long as I make time for us to do things together. We go out to eat way too much, watch a couple of movies a week, and go to the movies 2-3 times a month. She understands my playing video games is what I do to unwind and it makes me happy. As far as multiboxing? She doesn't give a damn about any of that.
