    Default HotKeyNet, GRRR!!

    Ok, so I was just scanning the forum about mouse clicks, reason being I hate having to move my mouse over to the other screen to click on a NPC to start up a quest or basically do anything. So what I found that most people were choosing HotKeyNet..
    Now, Im not that great at making these scripts but I did figure out how to work them, kinda. I got the samples to work great(obviously) but the thing was, I wanted to use Keyclone for all my keybindings but use HotKeyNet for the mouseover clicks..
    I kinda got it to work, its just that its so delayed or too fast or something, cuz when I use the modifier(~) and then click, it comes up so quick and doesnt click anything, just the "thinking mouse cursor"(vista: a blue circle) but if I hold it(~) and click 83493849 times it finally clicks what I want..
    How can I get this to work properly?

    I am running Vista and for the ClickMouse delays 0,0.. I also tried the default settings when you first run the program.

    HELP!

    ClickMouse only works properly if you adjust it. You adjust it by tweaking the numbers for ClickMouse Delays on the Settings Panel. Also:

    1. Make sure you're using SendWinM for background windows.

    2. Make sure "Substitute SendWinS" is checked on the Settings Panel.

    3. You'll get better performance (you'll be able to make ClickMouse Delays lower) if the locations that you are clicking in background windows are uncovered.

    Yeah, I have all those done, the only thing I didn't know was that I have to put my click delays up higher. Which they are between 35-40 and it works. But anything lowere than 20 seems not to register that well. Im not sure if this is something ill be using a lot but I will be playing around with it this weekend. I thank you for your help.

    That's pretty slow. Just to give you an idea, my main PC, a 2.4 GHz dual-core, gets perfect reliability with a setting of 8 8. Keeping the cursor target location uncovered is extremely helpful with WoW.

    im having the same problem, I really wanted my mouse clicks to register on my other machine to make looting and questing, stuff in general alot easier for me. I couldnt find much in the way of monitor size help. since my main screen is a 22" wide screen and my box is on a 19" CRT. I tried changing the resolution on the crt but the click never registered in the same spot, and after awhile I could see them registering at all.

    What's your setup? Do you have two machines with one WoW on each, and the WoWs are in full screen mode?

    yeah i have 2 machines, wow on both are in full screen.. im using synergy right now as well, but im having some issues with it whenever I goto the other screen the mouse goes haywire.. I tried the fixes i read in the wiki, which fixes the mouse look problem, but then I cant right click on certain things like to equip something so I need to use the other mouse which is making the whole program useless.

    my main machine in vista, and the box is on my old xp machine.

    Please try this:

    1. Turn off Synergy.

    2. Run HotkeyNet as admin on Vista machine.

    3. Make sure both WoWs are full-screen because the following assumes they are.

    4. Raise ClickMouse delays to 100 100 on BOTH machines.

    5. Press this new hotkey:

    Code:
    <Hotkey LButton>
    <PassThrough>
    <SendPC IP_ADDRESS>
    <SendFocusWin>
    <ClickMouse %TriggerMainKey%>
    If that doesn't work, please paste the red or blue messages from both machines here.

    cool man thanks
    does this allow a similar function as synergy so I can use both pcs seperatly if I need to?

    I dont send any keys through to the other machine beside the f's and 1 - = because the only toggle I can get to work is scrollLockon and whenever I hit that, some dumb widget comes up in vista and boots me out of the wow screen, and whenever I type my clone starts opening up bunches of windows and jumping all over like a fool :P

    liking the program alot. while I dont know much about making codes, im picking up on it, and I know how to code html at least that helped me grasp it easier.

    You're welcome.

    If that works you can gradually lower 100 100. I gave you high numbers to find something that works.

    The trick to solving problems like this is to find something simple that works. Then gradually add complications. When it stops working, you know the last thing you changed is the culprit.

    HotkeyNet doesn't do mouse multiplexing like Synergy. I'm writing a new program now that will do what both these programs do, but it won't be in public beta for a while.

    If you're using Scroll Lock in HotkeyNet, that could be the problem with getting the programs to work together. Synergy uses the lock keys for its own purposes, so using Scroll Lock in HotkeyNet makes the programs incompatible.

    You don't need to use lock keys with HotkeyNet. There are many other ways of turning hotkeys on and off. For example, you can use <If> statements so hotkeys automatically work only when you're in a WoW window. Or make a <ToggleHotkeys> hotkey. Or hotkeys with <TurnHotkeysOn> and <TurnHotkeysOff>.
