Default Which MotherBoard for a GTX 280?

Not exactly a multiboxing related question...

I was planning to buy a GTX 280, however I've read that you can't fit it in certain motherboards because some capacitors prevent the card from going completely into the slot. I've read it for the P5Q-E (new release, older releade didn't have this problem) which is the MB I was planning to buy.

Does anyone know where to find a MB compatibility list for this big card?

Or.. can anyone that has the GTX 280 tell me in which MB have you installed it?

    Thanks in advance.

Cheap Gigabyte EP35-DS3 works fine. Though I returned gtx280 and decided to stick with my old 4870 1gb, because there was absolutely no visible performance difference even at 2560x1600, and 4870 is much cheaper and less noisy.

i have a gtx 280 installed in an EVGA 750i SLI FTW, works fine, fits fine... i haven't really heard of any issues with any motherboards, just make sure you have have a PCI-Expr 2.0 compatible power supply, unless you want to use adapters and whatnot.

from what i've seen, if you're not using SLI/crossfire, then there's not really a huge point in upgrading to the i7, at least as far as gaming is concerned. though for some -like me - this means it might finally actually be worth it to upgrade to SLI :P

As a big bonuz the X58 platform offers a much better support for a big system meory buffer. 12GB (with twice the bandwidth compared to my old 8GB on X48) with absolutly no instability issues. Most X58 boards (like P6T) has native SAS raid support which in an upgrade on my radar atm. Two 146GB 15k rpm dics would defenetly be a big upgrade compared to my raid 0 7200rpm discs i use atm. The reason why I didnt go for SAS raid 0 right away is the fact that 12GB system buffer is a lot (even for multiboxing 10).
