    Default Ask a Boxing-Beta Tester:Tips on 70 to 80

    Hey all

I am wondering if anyone was able to multibox in the beta and had any tips. I have heard that there are a lot of collection quests and that instance grinding might be the better way. I have also heard there are some really cool quests. So any thoughts or tips would be welcome.

    Thanks

I haven't touched the Beta, but the suggestions I can give from TBC launch is that the first day or two will be Insane, in terms of lag/server crashing. The first quest hub will be SLAMMED. Your best bet if you can to avoid the frustrations is to attempt on instancing for the first level or so.

    Hey,

dunno where you got your information, but most if not all collection quests are skippable (with like 1 crappy follow-up).
    For leveling, follow this:

If you aren't haven't problems ganking, then questing is faster.
If you start having problems with ganking, but you don't have double XP, then questing = instance
If you have double XP, but don't have problems ganking, then questing = instance
If you have double xp but DO have problems with ganking, then Instance > Questing.

I know personally I plan on doing instances for the first couple days. I don't plan on killing myself getting to 80 either. I like the challenge of new instances and don't mind running them over and over. Plus this might be a good way to stock up on early enchanting mats. Also when you are in an instance and do something stupid you are the only one that saw it.

From my TBC start experience were i came 1 day late and always stayed abit behinde the "main" field of levelers..

From hellfire i know that dooing ramparts/furnance untill honored, then do the hellfire quest afterwards took you WAAAAY father rep wise then quests> ramparts/furnance.

My personal plan is to power my Death Knight up to 70, which should give me enough time to avoid the mess that is launch day. Well, outside of the fact that there will be a million DK's, but hey they leave their starting area at 58, which sets them up perfectly for all the level 60 dungeons which I'm not going to have to find a group for.

With this expansion I'm going to take my sweet time with leveling. At the start of TBC it was a race to get to 70 so we could start raiding. I skipped soooo much.

my plan is to power lvl as fast as i can to 80. This way i can get into a good guild (I think this because there will not be too many lvl 80 after the first month)

I was debating what to do for awhile...was thinking of just not buying wotlk for about 4-6 days after release so I can keep doing SSO dailies to get my epic flyers and since everything will be so crowded...but I "work from home" thursdays so it would be nice to pick up wotlk wed night and be able to install and "attempt" to play all day thursday...might do that instead.

Will make the decision before leaving work today on whether to preorder at gamestop on the way home.

Ideally I would like to instance some at the beginning but my 5 shamans don't have all the uber epic gear everyone else has at 70 since I'm a new 70, so I'm not sure I'll be able to solo any instances to the end. Guess I'll find out.

I'd like to be to 80 pretty quick if possible - it will be nice 5 boxing AND not being at the bottom of the totem pole gear-wise!

I'm going to instance grind and do quests where appropriate until 80; I really dont feel like dealing with overpopulated areas and laclusture quest gear. Having a full party to run instances with at any given time really makes instancing worth it (when you don't want to deal with overpopulation). I'm hoping that level 80 will only take a 2-3 weeks to attain (less than 100 hours to get there), so that I can have both of my teams at 80 before xmas . Not to mention, theres a ton of great instance drops that I'd like to familiarize my team with. Cheers.
