    Default How to setup my new RaF accounts (chain or not)

    well i just got done multiboxing up three sets of two (two accounts linked) for my wife. it took alittle while but now she xfered them all to the main account and has all classes.

    my main account has just a 70 mage on it.. and i want to also have all classes. i have two new sets of wow/bc keys sitting here to use..

    should i link them.. in a chain or link them both to the main account? after i am done lvlin i would xfer them all to the main account.

    If you want to dual-box you have to link them to each other.

    Won't give you any RAF bonus.

    Honestly, if you want all the classes the most efficient way is going to be to set them up in a line and use some WOW Classic/free months and TBC trials.

    You can set something up like my signature where you level them to 31.99 and then gift to 60, level the next account in the line to 31.99 and gift to 60 and so forth.

    ok so.. if i chain then Main-->RaF1-->RaF2.

    i can then, gift RaF1 lvls from RaF2... and that will count as levels earned.. and i can then "regift" those lvls to the Main account from RaF1?

    Do not ever link either account to your main's acct if you want to boost. The account linked to your main's will not get the 3x xp because the 70 is in the group. it should be like this : : Main

    Account 1 ---Link--- Account 2
    3 Locks: ùberlock ûberlock úberlock
    Level: 1--------10---------20---------30---------40---------50---------60---------70

    Couple options.

    If you don't want to boost, having your main invite the first, which then invites the second is viable, then you run around in a team of 3.
    X (your acct)>A>B

    This allows you to run around in a trio and eat things. I've not gotten confirmation that gifting levels from B to A causes A to generate levels for X, I've asked several times. If they do generate in that fashion the chain is definitely superior to the X>A and X>B arrangement.


    If you want to boost, have your wife invite you, accept and create and upgrade that account, which then invites yourself again, then you use your second set of CD keys to activate those.
    Y (wife acct)>A>B

    This allows you to keep your 70 mage viable as a booster without 'wasting' the grantable levels generated by acct A. Of course if your wife's account is all 60s you may have to get creative

    I have a 70 feral on my main account, I had my best friend invite me and then created A>B>C>D, so I can boost and those levels generated by A aren't lost. He also gets the zhevra and the free month.

    I don't understand the problem with linking your main account.

    I boosted with linked 70s (on accounts on both ends) and it didn't matter.

    I think it only matters if you're doing Linked70-Linked alt, Not 70-Linked Alt-Linked Alt.

    so for you, the first thing you would want to do is figure out how many accounts you're willing to make, and what your pace of leveling is.

    If you're only 2 boxing, you would do something like this:


    Main-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10
    Main-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-LEVEL TO 60-LEVEL TO 60
    Main-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-LEVEL to 31.99 AND GIFT - LEVEL to 31.99 AND GIFT

    I thought I understood this process until I started reading this thread.

    I am about to multi 5 accounts. I have several other accounts with 70's on them. I was just about to:

    Resurrect an old account that had a few alts on it but is already TBC. Use that as Acct1 and then:

    Acct1--RAF-->Acct2--RAF-->Acct3--RAF-->Acct4--RAF-->Acct5

    I didn't think you _could_ boost anymore, I thought if any of the XP was trival to anyone in the party then no 3x XP, but I guess that's not the case. So, that means I still have Main1, Main2, and Main3, etc. available to boost with?

    Is the above the right way to go about it?

    I'm so confused now. TIA

    I guess really the only way it works is if A is linked to B and B to C versus having B and C linked to A, if A is your boosting account then you will not get the XP since A is playing on the trivial account which gets nothing from it. I know confusing but that's how it should be put. And yes for the whole C being able to grant levels to B and accrued levels to grant back to A.

    "IF" you're planning on "boosting" during the 1-60 RAF leveling, you do NOT want any of the RAF accounts linked to your boosting character account.

    On the other hand, if you plan on questing and/or instance running with just the RAF group (my preference), then you would want to link to your existing vetran account, as you get the free extrra month(s), the mount(s), and gifted levels to characters on that account. So:

    NewA > Linked to RAF-1
    NewA > Linked to RAF-2
    ---- OR -------------------
    NewA > Linked to RAF-1, which is linked to RAF-2
    ----------------------------
    Either of the above will work for Boosting OR questing, but you'd need to be four boxing to boost with this group



    Existing VetranA, new RAF character > Linked to RAF-1
    Existing VetranA, new RAF character > Linked to RAF-2
    -----------------------------------------
    This will ONLY work for questing, the minute you replace the low level character on the Vetran account to boost, the two RAF characters will only get normal quest experience and rested bonus if they have any. Bye bye 3x RAF bonus

    If you only want to BOOST two characters, you could do Vetran > linked to RAF-1, which is linked to RAF-2, but then you'd be losing 50% of your RAF potential.
