Default Made it to 60, now I have a few questions for the smart people.

I hit 60 (actually 3/4 through 59 and I'm waiting for some answers so I don't lose my levels) in about 2 days played. I followed the "Two druids at once guide". It wasn't too bad but there was alot of travelling. I don't know how he did it in 1 day and change like he said though. I have a couple questions.

    1. How do I grant the free levels on my main account? I logged into a toon on my veteran account and grouped it with the new account and thought it worked that way. The grant-a-level was still greyed out and I've never seen it available to me.

    2. Now that I'm 60 what's the best way to reach 70? Before with one toon I've followed a guide like Joana's. These guides seemed to work well but they have a bunch of collection quests. Without the RAF do I still do those? Maybe I still need to because without the increased exp I need almost all the quests available to me. Basically I'm just looking for tips to get to 70 the best/quickest way.

    3. What's the average time it took people to get to 60? I'm just looking for an estimate. 2 days seemed fast to me, but it's probably not that quick.

    Thanks.

    1. I have not granted levels yet, so bear with me, my questions may seem simple but they aren't always.

Link with how to do it, with blue backup

Group up with the toon that you want to grant levels to, be physically near them, right click their character portrait, and select "Grant Level" from the drop down menu.

Three possible reasons it may not have worked, 1, the other toon was grouped but not nearby 2, the other toon was L60+, or 3 you may need to target the toon and right click on that portrait.

    2. I think Vyndree may have started a guide here on the site, but check out Jame's update

    3. I am at about the same spot you are with my 4 shammies, and my played is about 3 days. I did too many gathering quests and wasn't nearly as efficient as I should have been in general, but it was fun bolting stuff.

Jh, thanks for the info. I'm guessing that the toons not being close was the problem. I just logged them both on in seperate cities and tried it.

As for my other question, I think I'll use Jame's or Joanna's guides. Do you guys think the collection quests in there will slow down the leveling and make it inefficient? I guess I'm still trying to figure that out. I'm guessing without the RAF bonus though I'll need to do 95% of the quests anyways.

Maybe overly obvious, but you did actually send the recruit from the account you are trying to grant to, correct?

Yes, the recruit's account was sent from the veteran account. I'm pretty sure the toons just were not close enough together in the game. I'm not sure what I'll do with the levels either. I have a priest who's 16 that I could give 30 free levels too, otherwise I was thinking about rolling a pally. Either way, I won't be leveling another toon for quite a while with Wrath coming out, but that's just a sidebar issue, lol.

I'm pretty sure the RAF account would be the only one who can gift levels. I don't believe the veteran account can gift levels to the RAF account.

You're correct. Level granting only works in one direction in an RAF link.

Still wish I could get a definitive answer on whether gaining levels by being granted them generated new levels to grant by that toon?

    A>B>C are L10, L20, L30, C grants 10 levels to B, B goes to L30, how many levels does B have to grant to A? 9? or 4?

    Jeddius,
It's neat to know that you found my little blog useful, no question there was way to much time spent running around (I love travel form) trying to find a decent cluster of non-collection quests.

I recently Instance boosted a duo (Priest / Shaman) up from 8 to 60, 1-8 was quested (All of the Valley of Trials quests, collections included). 1-60 was 16 hours, 27 minutes, and 33 seconds so almost twice as fast as when I went the quested route. I do think that with a higher level supplying portals / cloth / and the AD 30 x quest components it would be possible to go 1-60 quested in about a bit over a day, though if you have that kind of support boosting is probably a more efficient use of one's time.

*Addendum, I realized I did stop in my boost run to do the Cauldron series and half of the AD 30 x quests since I'd accumulated the requisite bits along the way. Skipped the cloth quests since I had not been looting until BRD.
