Default Keyclone Lord of the Rings Online support

Hey there, I'm very very interested in purchasing the program. Though, I've been reading and searching the forums for a update on the support for LOTRO.

-Is Keyclone able to see past the second client running in the background?

I run two clients on one PC. I understand that in the past, LOTRO keyclone couldn't sent the keystrokes to the other client as lotro wouldn't see it while it ran in the 'background'

If its not able to see both at the same time, is there any other software programs that will keep both clients active to enable Keyclone to work its magic?

    Thank you!

I'm definately interested in the answer to this or any other configuration option that would function while running two clients on one machine.

Hey, Gramps... I remember seeing you in the MoM beta.

As far as I can tell, keyclone does see and send events to the background instance of lotro, but lotro ignores anything while in the background. I've read about people using software called innerspace to do get around this behavior but don't have any experience using the software (I dualbox), here's a couple links:

    Thx for the help man.

I gotta get this up and running, i've been clicking on the windows for months now...Keyclone sounds like the type of software that I could really get behind. But we will see.

    Thx again.

So I purchased Inner Space and gave it a shot and could not get it to load LOTRO. I'm running Vista 64 and tried every alternative solution found on the IS forums and ISMods forums along with here. The loader didn't work, installing in different directories didn't work and running as a user or admin didn't work.

I did try IS with SWG and it loaded properly the first time, so I am unsure what the problem is. One thing I did notice while loaded in SWG was the mouse was sporradic and shaking without any interference from me. All in all I don't think there is anything that give you functionality to your secondary window. LOTRO appears to be a pickle and will only accept focus client inputs. I've tried AutoHotkey and Inner Space and neither works. From forum posts I see that Keyclone won't work as a stand alone.

For some reason some people have gotten LOTRO to load up in the IS Console, but there is no clear reason why. At this point I'm going to ask Lax for a refund unfortunately (I definately don't want to, I want it to work!).

It seems almost no one boxing LOTRO and if they do, they do a specific two machine setup which I suppose I might have to move to, as much as I would prefer not too. I would much rather stick with two clients on one machine if anyone has infact has a working app. that will accept commands in both clients regardless of focus.

I run LOTRO on mulitple clients with Inner Space on Vista 64.

    A couple of notes:

    A) Can't use DirectX10 in LOTRO. Make sure to disable it (it's in the Graphics options)

    B) The default profile that Inner Space sets up for LOTRO sets it up pretty spot-on to be able to send keystrokes to those instances in the background

    C) For multiple clients on a single computer, make sure to set ComputeUniquePort=false (Thanks Lax!)

    D) Lax is generally on his IRC server for support whenever I've needed help.

I have been dual boxing with Lotro now for a few months using Keyclone and a program called Input Director. It works great for use on 2 machines . Input Director works great for mousing from one computer to the other. Its like having dual monitors. If using keyclone it works best behind a router if your using 2 machines. Also Keyclone, the man, also is very quick to repond. Now I won't hide the fact that I also purchased Innersphere and currently trying to get it setup to work. Innersphere requires alot more work to setup compaired to keyclone but if your trying to do it on just 1 machine its the way to go. I am still trying to get it to work right. So far I am up to windowsnapper. First time I messed with innersphere I didn't get it thru my head that you need to be in windowed mode. now that I have done so windowsnapper is working. Now my problem to get around is repeater. I have been trying to use ISXToolbox which is supposed to help alot in the setup. I have created a character set, but am still trying to figure out how to get innersphere to load it. This is what I mean by innersphere requires more work to setup. It also takes alot of memory. I have an Alienware M17 laptop and it took almost all the memory to get it to run just 2 on one machine. But I am hopeful that I will get it working because I would like to dual box at work......yes work

I thought I would update. I finally configured ISBoxer Toolkit to work with Lotro and have both instances of lotro working together. I wished I hadn't given up on it so quickly. But I will say that ISBoxer got me thru the setup as when I did it the first time. I wasn't using ISBoxer. I still have to work on my profiles more as some of the keys are creating problems that I had setup to change windows with. For those trying to get Innerspace to work with lotro first thing you need to go in and change in lotro is uncheck full screen. In my first attempt, I did not know this nor could I find this information anywhere and as a result Innerspace would not work. Also you may need to lower graphics some in order to lighten the load on memory. In my successful attempt using Innerspace on my Alienware M17 and Vista, it took just about all the memory to run. I was running to 2gigs. I think if I double that I should be ok. I hope that helps people trying to use Innerspace and Lotro. Now to go home and set it up using XP.

Thx for the update guys, I may look into Inner.

Just to be clear, has anyone been able to run two clients on the same PC with Innerspace?

    Thanks.
