    I think it's probably not such a good idea to play for 16 hours straight, but we all have done it at one time or another.
    Do 18-hour AVs count? No, right?

    So I started some RAF teams cause well.... why not.
    I know that a lot of people around here start teams on a whim like this, but I always wonder if this is sometimes addict behavior. Just make sure you're not playing just for the sake of playing, and that you're staying goal-oriented with clear boundaries. It's okay to save it for tomorrow, or to let your RAF period expire without using it. Only do what you need to do to reach your goals. If you don't have any clear direction or goals with your teams, you might drive yourself nuts with the possibilities without ever accomplishing anything.

    Actually, I had a very situational reasoning for grinding this hard. End of fiscal year I can only roll over 3 weeks vacation and I worked it out to get to take my extra while I didn't have a car to get to work for a few days. That and these RAF accounts brought me up to a 5-box for the first time ever. I wanted a PvE and a PvP team and I wanted them done before WotLK release. Did not see a 4 day real life 1-70 coming though.

    On a side note I work on computers and I can safely say I have minor eye strain after this ordeal and its giving me a headache right now ;(

    Oh, ok. Well if you had a reason other than "why not", then disregard what I said. But if you find yourself playing just because you think you should with no real goals, then take a step back.

    I have the exact opposite problem - I've got a prot pally + 4 shaman team that have been 70 for almost 2 months now, and a mix team at 60 (hunter/rogue/druid/druid). I have played a total of maybe 5 hours on the 2nd team in the past 30 days, and at least 3 hours was macro setup. I tried yesterday to login and level them up to at least 61 and burn some rest XP, but after 40 minutes in hellfire doing the same ol quests I almost fell asleep!! Parked them at the inn and logged out and watched TV instead.

    Dunno why, I just cannot get into leveling at all while I have a team of 70s - I find myself wanting to go run a heroic, or solo one of the shammies in one of the tons of 25 man raid pugs ongoing, etc. Collecting boar asses for some idiot goblin in the middle of nowhere isn't that interesting anymore

    I work seasonally. Basically no wow at all, for 4.5 months of the year.

    The remaining 7.5 months... I'll sometimes get a part-time job here or there, but usually don't bother for long stretches.
    Pretty much do absolutely nothing (work related) for 6-8 weeks prior to my seasonal work and the same after it.
    So that's maybe 4 months where...

    Once a week go and do some kind of sports thing with friends..
    Go for coffee with friends twice a week..
    Pay bills get groceries etc..

    And of course, get up... play wow.. eat.. play wow.. eat.. play wow.. go to bed.
    I've had days where I get up and wow for 14-15 hours and sleep.
    And then repeat the same for say 4 days in a row.
    And do this for 6 or 7 weeks in a row.

    In EQ on my main, my /played time was over 3 years. That for a game which was 7 years old at the time I quit.

    How much time you play is relative to how much free time you have.
    And also to the hobbies you find enjoyable.

    If you want to spent 100 hours a week (including weekends) that's up to you.
    If 10 hours is enough time, that's fine too.

    playing 18 hours straight. i think everyone here has done something similar once.
    theres no need to try and justify why, or tell hows ur life going. im pretty sure u have stability, otherwise u wouldnt even have those wow accounts and machines to run them.

    u know u shouldnt play that long, but it happened. ^^

    I haven't run my 5 box setup since May but I remember the dreams and quirky thoughts throughout the day. I'll be there again soon, probably about 2 weeks after Wrath hits (given how the patch went I really don't expect the game to be playable for at least a week after launch, likely 2).

    The worst was always trying to wake up 5 people at once in the morning...

    (TBC Team) 1xPally, 4xShaman -> Elothyn(70), Eloshama(70), Eloshamb(70), Eloshamc(70), Eloshamd(70)
    (Wrath Team) 1xPally, 2x Shaman, 1xMage, 1xDruid -> Elothyn(74), Eloshama(74), Eloshamc(73), Elozaen(73), Elothune(73)
    (Alts) 1xPriest, 1xWarlock, 1xWarrior -> Elothin(70), Elozen(70), Elothan(70)

    I had the oddest dream awhile back. I was a warlock. Nobody believed me when I told them, but I knew I was a warlock. However, whenever I needed to cast a spell, nothing would work. I knew I was a warlock, but I didn't actually have spells. I couldn't find a demon either. So basically my whole dream I was just running around town trying to cast spells and convince people I was a warlock. It was, indeed, a very odd dream.

    Since I started multiboxing, I catch myself always hitting 6 when I change what I'm doing on my computer (/follow on WoW).
