Default RAF Instance lvling-need help deciding which of my 70's would be the best

As the title says I need help deciding which of my 70's to use to boost my 2 guys to 60, my choices are:

Prot warrior, 13k HP, 500ish def rating

Prot or ret palladin, barely geared as freshly 70 ding this week, 9ishk HP in tank set, 430ish def rating

feral druid, again barely geared as dinged 70 around a month ago, about 12ish k hp and def capped obviously

I also have a 70 rogue, warlock and a 65 mage but dont think they really enter into the picture here

Has anyone here done instance boosting to 60 with any of these classes and what worked best for you?

    Thankyou for any advice.

The rogue might not be a bad choice. "Boosting" just means you're soloing things faces off with your 70 while the boostees trail behind it and/or tag stuff. I've used a mage with good results, although its squishiness becomes an more of an issue at higher levels (less, if one or both of the boostees can heal).

I said i think the rogue and warlock were out of the question for good reason, for time reasons mainly, they take to much damage and just cannot aoe as well as a ret palla or take a beating like a druid or prot tank, why do a race with your legs tied together when you do not have to kind of thing

I'm not sure how well ret can do anything right now, they're busy having their faces nerfed in. Probably still good for this, though.

Warlocks are supposedly not as durable as they used to be, I have no clue, haven't checked. But they can certainly handle multiple targets - if usually in a chain rather than all-at-once mode.

It doesn't matter much until you hit, say, level 40 content...the mage might be fast especially for the start, if you can play it well. But there's a reason paladins tend to get used for this. Even nerfed, I bet their mana issues are nowhere near that of a mage that is blowing AoE nonstop. Add to that plate instead of cloth and very minimal pushback issues.

pity you dont have a shammy
tho your rogue would be your best choice for fast dps

any type of tank is going to take you ages so you'd be better off questing them
i use an enhance shammy and im in BRS atm and its easy
but i've 3 manned ramps with my shammy

mayb use a tank and a dps etc?
have your tanks take aggro while you burn with dps
    could be difficult tho
but if your only boostin 3 then you have that extra spot
    *shrugz*
    get a shammy

I'm a long term AOE instance booster pre RAF and Pre multiboxing.

I started boosting with a Frost mage and could boost alts up to and including zf. This is a 70 frost mage with quested greens and the odd BOE blue.
I have done up to the same lvl with a 70 demo warlock using VW/Felguard and SOC.

My MAIN boosting toon is my prot pally I can boost up to and including BRD no probs with him his surviability and AOE reflective dmg is really really impressive. Plus the benifit of BOP and heaven forbid ability to res ya drones being dragged is VERY useful. Plenty of reading on www.maintankadin.com re easily obtained reflective dmg gear. First and most important is the sporegar rep shield grab that and put the biggest spike u can afford/obtain on it. Youtube prot pally AOE farming for how it is done, with the recent chagnes to my pally (patch) I am going stronger then ever with him boosting. Post 40 I usually quest as it seems to be better xp/hr I have found OR I multibox instances past this rather then having the drones dragged behind. FYI my pally tank is badge/kara geared but u can do it in lower gears just dont pull big groups over ya head that all

Edit: For tips on how to use your toons you have; start how I did: www.youtube.com , www.warcraftmovies.com etc etc, Search: X class solos X instance. Watch learn observe, go try it yourself

I can solo that on a mage if I'm careful what I pull how many of. Not all the bosses...some of the arena mobs *cough*bats* are annoying, and Mister Giant is right out...but most. I would hope a prot pally can go a little higher. Not that there's much higher before you hit 59.

Selective quoting ftl my friend read a little further down on that post:

But yes I can solo LBRS, strat, scholo havent bothered on UBRS TBH it is just time consuming v quest xp like I said.

I'm using my (not very well geared) lock to boost my toons. Get the 51pt demonology talent, and the VW glyph and you're all set (at least up through ST, that's as far as I've got at the moment).

Use the VW to round up the mobs, then pop a few SoC's into the group, pop your trinkets, gogo demon form immolation aura and bingo - dead mobs all around you.

3 min CD on Demon Form means that by the time you've LifeTapped, and let Fel Armour give you a bit of health regen you're ready to send the VW to round up the next bunch of mobs.

I can do SM cath in 3 pulls (not quite prot pally speed but a lot better than it was for me pre-patch), doing the lower courtyard, upper courtyard and then pull Mograine and the rest of the cathedral in one go. This usually takes around 15 mins (more if I'm looting). I've only just got the VW glyph and the 20% health is certainly noticeable in his ability to last while you round up as many mobs as you can. Also once you start damaging the mobs he is healed up to full so there's no need to wait for him to consume shadows.

RFD is also done in around 25 mins (if I dont stop to loot anything), with ZF taking a while longer as those pesky mobs heal and are not so nicely grouped.

I think I'm sitting at around +950 DMG self buffed (no food or pots), with just over 10k health.

I'd certainly give it a go to see how you get on, especially for any of the above instances.

    i just moved into DM
little more challenging coz of some nature resistance and some of aoe mobs in DM west
but breezed through east and was in west before server shutdown
