Default A thought for Dual Boxing

I am doing a dualboxing set up with warrior + priest. My thought is to use bongos on them so I can have a full bar for each, and just change the priest to Shift1 to Shift= and leave warrior as 1 to =. I just think this would be a lot better so each class can use a more variety of its skills, definetly useful in the later lvls when you get useful skills you can use because of action bar clutter.

i've not used bongos myself but if its like bartender at all you can also use modifiers like:

    ctrl #
    shift#
    alt#
    ctrl + shift#
    ctrl + alt#
    shift+alt#
    ctrl + shift + alt#

allowing multiple options when it comes to spells or macros.

a common 1 is alt for main spells used on your slave and ctrl as movement ect with shift as secondary spells ect. try things out, explore each option and find the way that suits you best!

yeah thats like bongos, I was just thinking of normal for main and ctrl or something for other, i dont have any useful macros as of right now except, target my main guy and /asist /follow, the main macros that I want to add, now that my guys can do instances, is for the priest like target party member 1 but ionno how to do that.

you can use /target party1 party2 ect for party member healing. or for a more precise way (longer but easier in long run) is to make seperate macros for targeting you healer slave with party members names. easily changed as you join a party it makes targeting easier as the party order list can change if leadership changes ect and it can happen at the same time that party 3 needs a large heal and you press party 3 yet he is now party 4 ect.

also macros that are useful, check the wiki out. sometimes it might seem you have it setup nice then you read a thread and there is a macro on there you like and when you use it you wonder how you lived without it. there is a macro forum on this site or check out the wiki.

You could easily bind your basic attack sequence to say #1 on the warrior, with a cast sequence.
And bind on the priest a cast sequence also to #1.
Then use the #1 key as your opener, for multiple casts for both toons.

    For example...

    Warrior
/castsequence reset=target/combat ,Charge, Mortal Strike, Sunder, Sunder, Sunder, Hamstring

    Priest
    /castsequence [target=Party1Target] reset=15 ,,Shadow Word: Pain,,,,,
    /castsequence [target=WarriorName] reset=15 Renew,,,,,

On the warrior the sequence is:
    Click 1 - Nothing, Click 2 - Charge, Click 3 - Mortal Strike, Click 4 - Sunder, Click 5 - Sunder, Click 6 - Sunder, Click 7 - Hamstring

On the priest the sequence is:
Click 1 - Renew on Warrior, Click 2 - SW:Pain on Warrior's Target, Click 3-7 Nothing (so they're not incurring GCD's and are able to heal if needed).

In my 5's PvE team, I have pretty basic macro's.

Tank 1: Pally does Seal, Avenger's Strike and Judgement on first three clicks, nothing on the remaing two clicks.
    DPS 1: Nothing, Nothing, Moonfire/Curse/SW:Pain/Scorch, Faerie Fire/Corruption/VT/Scorch, Insect Swarm/Immolate/VE/Scorch

Tank 2: Castrandom for Holy Shield and Hammer of the Righteous
    DPS 2: Nothing/Sh.Bolt/M.Flay/F.Ball

Then a few keys which are active window only.

Then a few heals from the druid, which are basically...
    - /assist Paladin
    - /cast [help] Heal; [targettarget, help] Heal

End result. Every pull I click 1 three times. Tougher mobs I click 1 five times.
Paladin will Seal, AS-Pull, Judge every pull.
DPS will apply Moonfire, Curse of the Elements, Shadow Word: Pain and Scorch (3x crit debuff) every pull on third click.
Against tougher opposition, say an instance boss, two more clicks will apply the 2nd and 3rd debuff from each of my dps/healer toons. But on trash that won't last long, mana is not wasted on these debuffs.

Button 2 is spammable, its pure damage for the damage dealers. Does nothing on the healer. Has a castrandom on the tank, and since the abilities are on a cooldown, pretty much won't do anything unless the threat-strike or holy shield is usable.

Pally can then Taunt (targettarget, help) so continues to target the mob, but taunts off of the toon that took aggro.
Hand of Protection works the same way. Holy Shield or Consecrate can be cast manually too.

My healer has Lifebloom, Rejuvenation, Swiftmend and Regrowth available.
The syntax is cast if target is friendly, or on the target's target if its hostile.
And the healer assists the tank, so the heal should go to the Paladin's Target's current target.

Most of the time, dps is easy to spam.
    Heals are easy to spam.
And I'm only really actively controlling the Paladin tank in combats, having broken follow prior to a fight.

Then have a few special keys set up, like AoE.
Switch my PiP so I'm controlling the druid toon (Hurricane needs to be mouse-targeted).
    - Sh.Priest spams Holy Nova, now that its a trainer spell; they don't have an AoE and it heals a bit.
    - Paladin Consecrates
    - Mage Arcane Explosions
    - Warlock Demonform/Immolation Aura.
None of the toons need to click to target, except the Druid.. and if it goes wrong, I can easily Barkskin/Tranquility.

Well, not sure if my set up will help you at all.
Hopefully it gives you some kind of an idea that proves useful.
I've really found castsequences to be of enormous utility, allowing for a lot of abilities on a few keys.
And with only 12 keystrokes (not including modifier keys) that's not a ton to control five toons (or two even).

I like the cast sequence stuff although I am still at the point were my warrior 3-4 shots anything, so I really just do charge heroic thunder clap heroic. I could change it up a bit.

Ok I tried that /castsequence reset=target/combat ,Charge, Mortal Strike, Sunder, Sunder, Sunder, Hamstring and I love it, 1 thing though, is there any way to make it work if i have gone through the sequence and the target still isn't dead, and if I pull aggro, so it skips the charge? Also I was just about to try the bongos thing, and guess waht it don't work with 3.0.3 and I can't find it on the site, so if anyone has any other add-ons that only changes the action bars, and allows custome keybind to each button plz link or give me a keyword to search.

    bartender4 and macaroon.

either works but macaroon can be complicated at first.

you can also set up bars so that they only work when you press down shift. make sure you bind keys to your buttons in the shifted state. the bars will pop up each time you hold down shift to do whatever you want with it.

but make sure on your warrior you do have macros for you abilities that include [nomod] so it knows not to do anything if you do hold down shift.
