Paladin/Warrior/Druid spec'd and geared is required for tanking heroics.
The general consensus has been a resounding no... pets won't tank heroics. I don't know of anyone who has seriously tried but there are plenty of people with 70 warlock groups who all seem to be in agreement.

The options are the three classes above or not tanking at all (kiting).
