Greetings, I'll make a little index to organise this post a bit.
To understand this post, you should be familiarized with the FTL set up basics and got some layman's knowledge about macro's in general. This isn't a set up for a starting newbie. And I don't recommend it for new boxers either. First familiarize yourself with the basics, go to a spec like this when you near the end level.

Toon 1:
I won't post the other four, but this is to give an idea on how my ftl is set up. For more information about how the FTL keymappings work check out this thread: Focusless, targetless, 'leaderless' setup.Code:Q LBAT Lightning Bolt LCTRL+LALT+U LBBT LSHIFT+LALT+U LBCT LSHIFT+LCTR+LALT+U LBDT E CLAT Chain Lightning LCTRL+LALT+I CLBT LSHIFT+LALT+I CLCT LSHIFT+LCTR+LALT+I CLDT R PGAT Purge LCTRL+LALT+O PGBT LSHIFT+LALT+O PGCT LSHIFT+LCTR+LALT+O PGDT F SSAT Shock LCTRL+LALT+P SSBT LSHIFT+LALT+P SSCT LSHIFT+LCTR+LALT+P SSDT LSHIFT+E ENAT Elemental Mastery + Chain Lightning J ENBT LALT+J ENCT LCTRL+LALT+J ENDT LSHIFT+Q ABAT Healing macro K ABBT LALT+K ABCT LCTRL+LALT+K ABDT C FLAT Follow Macro LCTRL+LALT+L FLBT LSHIFT+LALT+L FLCT LSHIFT+LCTR+LALT+L FLDT SUBTRACT (Numpad -) SPR1 Spread Out Macro N SPR2 S SPR3 M SPR4 LEFT ARROW LEFT Turn alts FTL (Exact the same on all four) 7 LEFT RIGHT ARROW RITE 0 RITE
When you want to broadcast a modified key for FTL, like I do with Shift-q and Shift-e, you can't use the shift modifiers in the FTL macro's, hence I make it send either unmodified, ctrl'd, alt'd, or ctrl-alt'd in the same fashion all FTL macro's are made. Ofcourse the FTL macro /target <ftl targeting stuff> will differ from the other macro's.
The spread out macro is also slightly different then usual, so I will post that for all my chars:
Basicly, bind N to strafe left and M to strafe right on all chars and that's all there is to it when using this keymapping.Code:Toon 1 SUBTRACT (Numpad -) SPR1 N SPR2 S SPR3 M SPR4 Toon 2 N SPR1 SUBTRACT (Numpad -) SPR2 M SPR3 S SPR4 Toon 3 S SPR1 M SPR2 SUBTRACT (Numpad -) SPR3 N SPR4 Toon 4 M SPR1 S SPR2 N SPR3 SUBTRACT (Numpad -) SPR4
Finally, the LEFT RIGHT thing, ok, here's the deal with that:
Should be -exactly- the same in all your four toons keymaps. I bound the Arrowpad left and right on my nostromo pad (see picture above) to 7 for left and 0 for right. So when I use it, it will send the strings LEFT and RITE to other clients. note: 7 and 0 need to be 100% completely UNBOUND in WoW, just keep your movement keybindings the way they are standard. wasd and arrow keys.Code:LEFT ARROW LEFT Turn alts FTL (Exact the same on all four) 7 LEFT RIGHT ARROW RITE 0 RITE
The other FTL keymappings I use follow basicly the exact same method as described in the original FTL topic. ( Focusless, targetless, 'leaderless' setup. )
4. Ingame WoW Keybindings
It's important to unbound everything you unbind everything you don't need on all characters. Keep WASD and arrow keys in tact.
I have N and M for Strafe left and Strafe right on all chars, as I explained with the keymappings.
5. Ingame WoW Macro's
Nostromo pad keys from top left to bottom right:
First row:
1. F5
unmodified Standard PvP sequence for all four with staggered tremor totems.
shift modifier to drop grounding totems
ctrl modifier to recall totems.
2. q
unmodified Trinket+Lightning bolt
shift mod to Lesser Healing Wave
ctrl mod to Chain Heal
3. w
Move forward
4. e
unmodified Chain Lightning
shift mod EM + Chain Lightning
5. r
unmodified Purge
mod shift Round robin Thunderstorm
mod ctrl Round robin War Stomp
Second row:
6. F6
unmodified (currently second trinket, the Light's Hope AoE trinket as well for me :P ) Fire Nova Totem
shift mod round robin Earth Elemental Totem
ctrl mod Fire Elemental Totem
7. a
8. s
9. d
10. f
unmodified Shocks
shift modifier EM+Thunderstorm on all four
third row:
11. SHIFT
Self explanatory
12. g
unmodified drinking macro (first Mana Biscuit if available, then Purified Draenic, then Star's Tears, always chooses the first it finds.
shift mod Drink Mana potion, also several names in one macro to make sure I can use a variety of mana potions should one rin out etc.
13. h
unmodified Ancestral Spirit, not FTL'd, I like swapping windows clicking four targets and mass ressing for example. No need to ftl it anyhow and you dont want more then one char ressing the same person.
shift mod Astral Recall. I like it in reach. :/
14. c
Follow button! The funny thing is, there's no macro or binding for c at all in my entire WoW, but it does send keymappings for follow on my alts ofcourse.
Scroll up. F7
Mount macro
Scroll click. 2
Round Robin Bloodlust. I have it here as I wont accidentally press it ever then while having it within reach.
Scroll down. `(~) the button next to 1 anyhow.
Ghost wolf macro ([nostance] to prevent it from being spammable)
Button above the d-pad thingy, CTRL
Self explanatory, my second modifier.
DPAD Move forward and Backward with up and down arrow, Left and right however bound to 7 and 0 for FTL purposes, so it -only- turns the characters I alt at that time and never the one I main.
Last button: Insert, its standard spacebar but I like it as insert.![]()
Apart from that I have keybinds on my keyboard for PvE totem sequences and other PvE macro's I dont generally need on the fly or within reach. My nostromo pad set up is tuned for PvP.
MACRO'S
Whilest I could just post them all, there's little need for it, I will post some non FTL ones however and an FTL one and explain some things about them
My F button.
#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Elemental Mastery
/cast [mod:shift] Thunderstorm
/castsequence [mod:ctrl] reset=4 Water Shield, Flametongue Weapon
/cast [target=focus,harm,nodead][] Frost Shock
FTL macro layout with rule by rule explanations.
(my shift-E when used on toon2, 3 or 4. So this is the ftl macro that exists on my toon1 (Caniika): as you can see, I could prolly remove the mod:shift in all three as it never changes, but I'm a completist so. :P . )
#showtooltip Elemental Mastery
/target [nomod:ctrl, nomod:alt, mod:shift, target=Canilka][mod:alt, nomod:ctrl, mod:shift, target=Canllka][mod:ctrl, mod:alt, mod:shift, target=Canlika] (Standard FTL targeting system)
/target targettarget (targets the leaders target.)
/targetlastenemy (This is incase your main gets blinded or otherwise cc'd and your alts can not see your mains target for the duration of the cc. If you like a clean target system like me, you will need this bit. It will nevr bug and works 100% perfect, trust me!)
/use 13 (trinket, got it unmodified at the moment to see if I like it, but I will likely go back to using [harm] in this one.
/cast [harm] Elemental Mastery (Dont want to waste this unless target is harmful)
/cast [target=focus, harm, nodead][harm] Chain Lightning (the first bracket is incase I have set a focus. this can be useful in some pve situations as well as arena for killing the first target, however you can remove it at first if you wish to use focus for other purposes. Its not neccesary. The second part is just a [harm] Make sure you dont add nodead. You want them to cast on feigned hunters too.)
/cleartarget (clears target again, aaah, so clean.)
My healing macro + ftl, since its pretty wicked. One button for everything!
Q:
#showtoolip
/use [nomod] 14
/cast [nomod,target=focus,harm,nodead][nomod] Lightning Bolt
/cast [mod:shift,target=target,help,exists][mod:shift,target=targettarget,help,exists][mod:shift,target=player] Lesser Healing Wave
/cast [mod:ctrl,target=player] Chain Heal
FTL for the healing part, the TOON1 ftl one anyways. (shift+q):
#showtooltip Lesser Healing Wave
/target [nomod:ctrl,nomod:alt,mod:shift,target=Canilka][mod:alt,mod:shift,nomod:ctrl,target=Canllka][mod:ctrl,mod:alt,mod:shift,target=Canlika]
/cast [target=targettarget,help,exists][target=targettargettarget,help,exists][target=player] Lesser Healing Wave
/cleartarget
You might need... A minute or two to get used to this healing macro, but seriously, it's so powerful for just one button. <3 I love it. I have Chain Heal always targeted on self, it works best for me.
