Just depends on what you feel qualifies as successful. I took 3 shamans in a 5v5 to 1800+. Considering my all time high as a solo player in a 5v5 was around 1900, I feel that was okay for my own skill level. But in 2v2 or 3v3, I doubt I could ever break 1600 on a consistent basis. But then again, that's not that bad either for the average player. If it's fun for you, it doesn't really matter what your rating is.

Before patch 3.x I managed with my s4 Warrior and my s2 paladin 1700. But its really difficult and you have to move the chars most of the time seperatly.
I don't think you have enough burst with 2mages or warlocks on level 80...

For plenty of people breaking 1700 is hard enough. If i imagine how hard that must be while controlling pally / warr... Great job!
