There is a difference between completely recording a song to use personally without paying and taking a video of your child with said song playing in the background.

And there is a difference between recording a song for personal use and copying media you own to keep a back-up of it in case of damage.

I do believe they don't allow video cameras into cinemas at all, no matter if you only want to record less than 30 seconds or have no intention of distrubuting it.

Once again, you have to be more specific man, you did not mention only recording 30 seconds or less for a ringtone from music you already own. And, on an internet forum, when you say "as if pay for ring tones" this mainly implies downloading pirated music. With people reading this site just looking for a reason to hate us, we can't afford to give off the wrong impression.
