    Default warrior macro help requested...

i looked around and didnt find much for warriors other than buttons that do random attacks, etc.

so...lets say i have a fury war, obviously in berserk stance you cant use intercept unless you already have rage built up. i was thinkin of a simple macro that would 1) activate bloodrage, then 2) cast intercept. thats option 1. when simply doing this two lines though, i get the "not enough rage" line for obvious reasons. so i thought for a few, and what i already knew from what i used to do (battle stance, charge, dance to berserk, attack...option 2). obviously hittin all those buttons can become very inefficient over a lengthy period.

now, first off, would there be a way to get option 2 to work in a timely manner? and if so would it be more productive to use option 1, or option 2?

    any thoughts are appreciated. thanks.

For option 1 I think you need a castsequence macro, bloodrage takes time to get your rage up (I think, I don't play warrior very much), so you'd end up with one button that you need to press twice (once for bloodrage and once for intercept once you have enough rage.

    /castsequence reset=10 Bloodrage, Intercept

For the reset part I don't actually know what time would be best, but basically the number is seconds after last hitting the button before it will reset back to bloodrage, so in that macro if you use bloodrage and then don't press the button again for 10 secs it will reset to use bloodrage again. You can also reset on other conditions (like target changes), but I don't know which would be best for your needs.

You might also want to add in Intercept on it's own with a modifier key so that you can cast it without wasting bloodrage if you have the rage already. That would look something like the following macro, though I'm doing this off the top of my head, so apologies if I make any mistakes.

    /cast [mod:shift] Intercept
    /castsequence reset=10 Bloodrage, Intercept

Edit: The reason you didn't find a macro for this already is that it's probably more of a general warrior one, rather than specifically useful for multi-boxers. If you need a general class macro (rather than one you're trying to make work for a multi-box specific thing), then it might be worth checking the WoW class forums as well as they tend to have a macro thread.

First of all, i never ever played a warrior, so this is wild guessing.

But what you can do is try the following:

    /cast [stance:1] Charge
    /cast [nostance:1] Battle Stance;[stance:1] Berserk Stance

thanks...very much helpful. the purpose of it really was to primarily use intercept as if it were charge (walkin around, see something you want to kill...charge, stun, proceed to demolish).

its not really somehting im gonna do, just toyin around my my char om beta and spec'ed him fury to see if it was better/worse for my personal liking...in the end though, i still very much prefer prot over the other two classes.

as far as other sources, i figured id just tap into the sources i already have (this being the only one i found easy enough to go through and didnt have to deal with the stupid and/or annoying people found in the more common forums).

    again, thanks for the input.

Yeah I don't see why you would go through all of the trouble of making some macro work to make you use only intercept when you can use it to stance dance your way into fury. I can't think of anything in fury that would be your burst without enough rage.

yeah, basically just an experiment. i know little about macros, and until the other day, the only way i used em was for slash commands instead of typing it all out. I happened to throw down with some graphics ones for on the fly adjustment though, my first break into real macro use. i was thinkin that if there was a way to put in a pause of some sort, i could use this more with other commands. like, string a bunch of attacks together and all i have to do is press the button, and it'd practically do all the fighting for me...cause ya know, we humans tend to be lazy sometimes. =P
