the order of talent placement for my shamans is

    5/5 concussion
    5/5 convection
    1/1 elemental focus
    5/5 call of thunder
    3/3 eye of storm
    1/3 elemtnal warding
    1/1 elemental fury
    4/5 unrelenting storm
    5/5 lightning mastry
    1/1 elemental master
    5/5 finish unrelenting storm
    2/2 storm reach
one more pointing into elemntal warding (2/3)
    5/5 lightning overload
    1/1 totem of wrath
    finish elemental warding (3/3)
    5/5 imp healing wave
    3/3 ancestral healing
    2/5 tidal focus
    5/5 healing focus
    4/5 tidal mastery

the last point in elemental warding can go into tidal mastery instead if you want.
the difference between 41/0/20 and 40/0/21 is dropping totem of wrath for nature's swiftness. Wrath is very heavy PvE build though because insta-cast heals and bolts is hard to beat in PvP especially in arenas.

for my shammies I'll be going

PvE Ele or PvP Ele PvP Instagibb

    on all 5

the advantage as ellay pointed out with ToW is that you gain 15% crit and 15% hit which is insane!! not only is it great for Lightning Bolts, It also means your heals have on average a 25-30% chance to crit. making Ancestral Healing (armour value increase on crit heal) even more effective, as the chance of you not crit healing when you heal with all your characters is only 15-25% depending on your gear (much lower if you have lots of crit).

It allows you to gear crit and spelldamage without worrying about +hit making ToW alot of fun. Infact 5 terribly geared elemental shamans like this can easaly maintain raid-level damage, due to their high critrate (low mana cost spells) and ~0% resist vs bosses and other players

For PvP there is a little bit of a dilemma. I personally will stick to ToW for a while until I get some gear and hit Arena. But the impact NS can have on a fight is quite amazing. often allowing you to drop one or two players before they have become aware to what's happened

Will post up Priest Info. The Tankadin Spec is nice. Similar to what I use.

I run 4 Priests. I do not recommend identical specs (though I am for levelling) as things like improved fort is not needed on all since you are using group buffs. Also considering taking Misery on only one priest and rest having the crit talents on mb/sw:d

    Anyway will post more later.

As a general rule I will often take a passive talent over an active one. Sometimes its better to have fewer button pressing options. Some talents you might absolutely take playing solo just complicate things for a multiboxer and you get a talent you never really use and the points are just wasted.
What they are saying: "Why are those guys following you? Why do they wear the same stuff? Did you pay for all of those accounts? Boxing is so unfair. Ebay? Lozer. Get a life. WTF? Retard. Gay." What they are thinking: "Damn, wish I could do that. That's so cool. This guy rocks! Lucky bastard. Maybe I can get mom to buy me more accounts."

On topic, thanks for the Pali responses, now with all the people doing Shamans, does anyone have a reccomended multi-box talent point assignment spec? I don't know enough aobut the Shaman class to know what talent points to put "40 Ele / 21 Resto" into without seeing the actual spec in the point calculator.
I found something that helped: http://www.wowwiki.com/Talent_Builds_Guide It would be nice to know where people are putting their shaman points as they go, but if thats too much trouble, I can figure it out as I go.
I'm using this as my low-gear PvP spec with some PvE thrown in... http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hEczVcMkAoxZx0ek0xo

I used this to level with: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=hEczq0MsAotZxctz0x (Ele tree first)

Has anyone toyed with Call of Flame for a non-ToW shammy? I love dropping nova totems when I get a bunch of melee on me in BG's, but I don't want to waste 5 points if it doesn't make much of an impact. And I love elemental warding. I get blizzard'ed so many times by nub blood elf mages.

Eye of the Storm is amazing for PvP and not that great for PvE. Ancestral healing works wonders without a specced healer to add that extra kick of armor to your heals since you have such a high crit rate with stacked ToW. With low gear, Unrelenting Storm was giving me only 6 or 7 mp5 per point in the talent, so I opted out of it especially with the new and improved water shield.

For the most part the cookie cutter talent specs out there work well for us in regards to PvP and PvE with a few minor tweaks.
For the classes I've played both of these have worked very well

    Elemental Shaman - 40 Ele / 21 Resto
can switch out the instant cast talent for 3% crit /hit totem per Shaman = 15% crit/hit with 5 if you go full PvE

    Mage - 33 Arcane / 28 Fire

Provides instant kill status through AP/PoM/Pyro, with scorch spam allowing max fire DPS and 50% bonus on crits + ignite.
Gross. 40/21 by far. The last 5 pts in arcane are godly (25% of int to spell dmg? thats like 100 spell dmg fo FREE!)

    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=oix0c0fzthdiZExuz000o

That gives blast wave, and really nice arcane explosions, all with pom pyro for burst, and impact/etc. Imp CS means I can lock down a caster almost infinetly.

Rather dated thread, but illustrates the potential need for a sub forum on the topic. We might even be able to maintain a sticky with what are generally considered the best specs/alternatives. Interesting to see how in '07 this thread was participated in pretty heavily by the now senior members of the board.

Thats my current shaman plan. Basically an all offense spec.

Im kinda wondering if I should push into elemental and rush to TS or should I get the 45 percent shock mana reduction to help me level as I use mostly shock spells, in enhancement first.

Right now I ahve convection and concussion and am working on reverb.

Hmm since I don't risk getting flogged since I didn't pull the necro job, I'll follow Fur (great link btw).

I'm running up 4 balance druids right now, per the talentchic site I'm looking at building towards this spec
How's that spec look for 4 identical balance druids? I knew feral pretty well pre-3.0 but not balance for beans.

I have a raiding feral, trying to configure my PCs to allow pure instance boosting for them, but for now it's quest quest quest.

So hard to find leveling specs that suit the MB crowd. Wowwiki and EJ and a lot of other places have repositories of the cookie cutter specs, but the specific quirks of MB aren't really taken into account.

If I wasn't multiboxing it would be "go feral you schmuck" but having 4 druids offsets a lot of the mana issues.

2 volleys of wrath kills mobs before they reach me, mana's not an issue. Feral might be faster I guess but MB lots of melee sounds annoying and I've already leveled feral once solo.
Lvl 22 in 9 hours questing with the only assistance being a half dozen bags and 20g. Still basically naked.

My team of 4 60 shammies I need to tweak their specs, I think I have like 13 unspent talent points on each one, but they're shelved until my RAF is done.

Anyone else find themselves in that position a lot?

I checked out the site Fur recommended. Interesting, but not directly relevant for the reasons you outline above.

I'm a warlock by trade ( ) and I know that the great talent specs from my class boards (www.wowmb.com) should not be relied upon for a MB'er.

Hence, my interest in asking this community to organize its thoughts around class specs specific to the multi-boxer. Problem for me is that this doesn't lend itself well to the wiki (as it seems very dynamic, especially after the release of an expansion). Furthermore, threads like this drop to the second page faster than..... well...... just fast.
