Well, I am only level 6 atm, but I plan on going Balance on a Druid, Destruction on a Warlock, Arcane on a mage(Curse of Shadows) and then Restoration on my shaman and then a prot warrior tank.

Seems like a well made group to me, I didn't want to play a priest because I already have one at 70... so meh. I will more than likely switch the specs on the druid and shaman post 50 sometime, tree druids are just all kinds of hawtsecks.

For the classes I've played both of these have worked very well

    Elemental Shaman - 40 Ele / 21 Resto
can switch out the instant cast talent for 3% crit /hit totem per Shaman = 15% crit/hit with 5 if you go full PvE

    Mage - 33 Arcane / 28 Fire

Provides instant kill status through AP/PoM/Pyro, with scorch spam allowing max fire DPS and 50% bonus on crits + ignite.
If you have the time Ellay, could you post your exact build for the mages? wowhead.com

Bump for Ellay's shaman talent build, or anyone else's that you find worthwhile. I haven't played a shaman before, I was hoping the main wow forums had a "how to level guide" with specs like they have on other forums where they show you where to put your talent points as you level up, but I didn't see one sticked.

Also, in a Pali+4 shaman group where the pali will be the tank, does he start off protection? Or is it like wars where they go a dps build ( ret I assume for pali) Arms/fury to level and then switch to prot later on?

    Prot Paladin:
    Level 30: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tIh0z
Blessing of Sanctuary = Holy Damage on Block, more threat. This compensates for your lack of Plate Armor at this level.

    Level 36: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tIh0zT
Sacred Duty to bump your HP. Reckoning is your arsenal for AoE pull of 3-4 mobs.
Seal of Light/Seal of Light with a decent fast 1h will keep you healed up with adds beating on you.
This alone can make you solo--now just imagine how fast you can down them with +4 dps when you multi box.

    Level 40: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tIx0zg0o
    Finish filling Reckoning and Anticipation.
Holy shield is now your threat generator.
Stick with using Rank 1 Holy Shield, except you want more agro initially.
You'll have Plate armor this level, so you can wean off the Blessing of Sanctuary and start using Kings.

Level 41-45: Get 5/5 Ardent Defender. You can survive 4-6 melee mobs if you're fully plated by now, even if you're just using Armor Kit enchants.

    Level 50: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tIx0zg0qp
I want the Avenging Shield sooner, so I only got 4/5 Combat Experise.
It's a trade off for 3 mob front load agro & range pulling, versus 2% more stam at this level.

    Level 60: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tIx0zgMqtVb
Getting ready for Outlands. I start aiming for mana efficiency putting 7 points in Ret.
Then topping off Combat Experise & Improved Holy Shield.

    Level 65: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sZV0tIx0zggqtVb
From this point on, I focused on my individual damage and max 1H Weapon Spec.

Level 66-70: This will depend on what you're aiming for.
If you're aiming for Karazhan, I'd go 5/5 Parry and work towards farming gear to be uncrushable.

For more generic 5-man dungeons, I would put 2/2 Spell Warding, and 3/3 in Precision.

Sanctume [Paladin] + [Team Shaman] Sanctumea + Sanctumei + Sanctumeo

It puts the Goblin Jumper Cables XL back in its bag and does what it's told.
    Ex-WoW 5-boxer.
    Currently playing:
    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

Healing as tankadin pretty much goes away in TBC instances because:

    A) When you are casting heals your avoidance goes to 0 (you will take more damage then you will heal)
    B) Your tankadin will get low on mana way before your healadin will (in fact my tankadin is who I wait the most drinking, and my healadin usually does not even need to drink).

I would dearly love to get the +10%int from holy as tankadin but not at the cost of giving up +5% parry.

My healadin has tons more wiggle room:

I optimized for instances (healing+survivability). As I never use blessing of wisdom anymore I dumped improved talent. For normal instances I use kings+salvation and kings + sanc_or_light on tank.

My mages currently are deep fire with some ice for icy veins (and frostbolt backup). This will be changing in the near future though as my mages are doing an entirely too good of a job killing themselves during inciter chaos curse (dragon breath, blast wave and playing with fire definitely have to go)

ahh thanks, I get it now. In my process of devouring this forum for information as I try to get set up, its bound to happen that I will read something and have a question about it. It seems to make more sense to me to ask in the original thread to keep the continuity of the idea that prompted the question, then start a new one.

On topic, thanks for the Pali responses, now with all the people doing Shamans, does anyone have a reccomended multi-box talent point assignment spec? I don't know enough aobut the Shaman class to know what talent points to put "40 Ele / 21 Resto" into without seeing the actual spec in the point calculator.

I found something that helped: http://www.wowwiki.com/Talent_Builds_Guide It would be nice to know where people are putting their shaman points as they go, but if thats too much trouble, I can figure it out as I go.
