Comical situation

I had my team (then level 59 pally + 4 elem shaman) running LBRS this weekend. It was my second run through for the day and I was cruising along quickly. I got to the room just outside War master Vaughn and accidentally aggroed two groups. Normally that is no issue, and in fact I quickly mowed them all down until there were 2 left. Two Smolderthorn Witch Doctors to be exact... the troll equivelent of the shaman. What happened next was very comical. I could not kill them. I fought them for over 20 minutes. Between their Elemental Protection Totem and Superior Healing Ward's I could not kill them. I even tried targetting and killing the totems as fast as I could but they kept just making new ones and never running out of mana, and of course they were hitting me for 5 percent of my health a second so I I had to keep healing. I honestly could not for the life of me figure out how to kill them. I had plenty of time to think, because they really could not kill my team either. Every possible combination I could think of failed.

In the end I just sat down and let them kill me, then rezzed and killed them seperately.

I found it amusing that I was "beat" by shamans I would also like some of whatever Mojo they were smoking, cause it rocks.

Ya, i appreciate that. I remember lvling a tauren druid in ghostlands... vs. those NE druids on one of the islands. Once a minute i could bash their heals but man that was annoying. Druid duels ftw.

This is why it ways pays to have youre weapons skills up - it's the fallback plan if you can't do spell damage - pop winfury and beat their brains out instead!! :P

Also if you were tauren, warstomp FTW!

My thoughts exactly. I carry 2handers on my shammies for the odd nature-immune mob, and every couple levels I go on a skillup spree. ever since I hit the high 50's, I've done this with Servants of Razelikh in the Blasted Lands - the ones that won't die unless you kill their crystal. (I don't even know how to actually kill one of these. the crystal that they emote about isn't targetable) A fistful of Healing Stream Totems is more than enough to keep me unharmed.
