I'd say one that's complex enough that it was basically impossible to multibox.

Also I'd like consequences and to be able to change things. Actually be part of building/changing the world. The static/Disney World style thing gets old.

I'd like magic to be something mysterious and cool and complex rather than the button spam fest that it is in all MMO's I've played. I'd like to cast less and have it do more, be an event you know.

I'd like death to matter. Actually, I like the permadeath idea, but a lot of things have to change to make people not just run away screaming. Leveling can't be the crazy grindfest that it is in all MMO's and you'd have to have some benefits carry over etc.

All in all a better MMO would provide more enjoyment from the doing (fighting, questing, crafting) than the having (gear).
i agree with this. something that makes it a little more realistic. if you could hit someone with a firebolt irl, its gonna do some serious dmg, no matter how strong you are. i recall shadowbane being a game where actions taken ultimately change how the world is shaped. think the game bombed though. theres one thing ive kept sayin about wow, over 4 yrs, you can still do the same old crap they had at release. why not change it up, move mobs out of certain areas, maybe put new ones in, alter/get rid of quests, etc, etc. and for gods sake, finish building that damn bridge in redridge...thing has been half done forever.

to answer the original question, im still a bigger solo player than MB player. but i tried it for its intrigue and cause it makes thigns go quicker. when youve had x number of chars, you experienced all the same crap from lvl 1 on up numerous time over. MB'ing allows me to play through this boring content that i know better than the back of my hand quickly and get to what i want to do, raids, gettin gears, etc.
    ("\(O.o)/") rawr!!

I had pretty much hit a wall with solo play. The guild i'm in had knocked me back to "casual" rank because i couldn't be around for raids all the time and frankly getting 5mans together with pugs was just a pain. Multiboxing is basically a way for me to go run a ton of 5mans any time that is good for me without worries about who is online. And I imagine eventually, one side effect will be that my main will be better geared and have better rep and will be more likely invited along to raids as a fill-in in the future - because i do still like the chaos that is 25+ man content.
Pretty much the same. As my wife popped out more and more kids I had less and less time to play. This is my way of still being able to do things in this game.
I hope you catch the guy that is doing this to your wife.

I think it's pretty simple really- WOW on its own is very rarely mentally challenging or stimulating. Multiboxing requires the ability to multi-task and requires a lot of forethought, coordination, planning etc. A satisfying MMO would be a game that innately challenges a player to think skillfully and logically at all times, rather than being able to predict what is going to happen and being able to automate your behaviour based on that (aka mindless grinding).

There are many times in WOW where you can just 'zone out' or become bored. WOW is conceptually very simple. If you had to be constantly making new decisions, solving puzzles and managing more aspects of character and combat, that wouldn't be the case. I know some people MB because they feel 'underpowered' on single characters, but if it was exponentially harder to play a single character 'skillfully' then a game designer could afford to grant more 'power' to those who were 'skilled'. Just imagine if all the keys you press when MBing were in one window tied to one character, with all the abilities amalgamated.

Multi-boxing for me is time to enjoy getting away from reality. Before raf i did try doing dual boxing. Gf hounded me about playing so much till she finally tried it out. She loves it now but the whole idea for her she wanted to lvl faster and get to my lvl. So while she would sleep i would run both chars same time trying to lvl them same pace so mine wasnt 60 and she was lvl 30. Then raf came out and it was on. The idea of three times exp and can make every class in the game and playing for 3 days i have lvl 60's was awesome. So went out got 3 more accounts and bang havent looked back. Plus my gf really loves the idea of being able to go str8 to outland cause she really hates the pre bc content.
They say spiders have 8 legs well i guess im a rare and unimaginable specimen. Ive got 9 legs and my web comes from that 9th leg. HaHa.

When I hit 70 for the first time on my druid.. The game was really boring to me.. I could only play 2 hours a day so it was hard to get gear, so I looked into botting. I started botting and soon had 3 level 70's with epic flying mounts but outland gear lol.. Then I got banned. I had it coming, I got to carried away. I re-leveled a character to 70 and the game was boring to me again, so I quit and played runescape, since runescape doesn't require you to be on so much and its a whole new game.. Then I went back to WoW and decided to re-roll a character, when I got to 50 on this new character it was boring to me again, so I went back to runescape.

Then I watched a movie on youtube of a multi-boxer and thought it looked awesome. So I bought keyclone and made two new accounts, and have had fun ever since. I also reported any botters or hackers i've seen. If they decide to make multi-boxing a banable offence I well quit.
