    Default Making a More Satisfying MMO

    Since we're mostly about multiboxing here, just what about MB'ing makes it worthwhile and satisfying to YOU?

    Is it to make a game we already love even more enjoyable? Or something else that only MB'ing can provide?

    What does this say about the underlying MMO?

    If you were forced to go back to single-character, but could in turn force the devs to change something about the game, what would you consider to be a fair trade?

    For me it was about making WoW fun again.
    I really had quit, but then i started reading up on multiboxing and wanted to try it, and here i am. Back for good

    I had pretty much hit a wall with solo play. The guild i'm in had knocked me back to "casual" rank because i couldn't be around for raids all the time and frankly getting 5mans together with pugs was just a pain. Multiboxing is basically a way for me to go run a ton of 5mans any time that is good for me without worries about who is online. And I imagine eventually, one side effect will be that my main will be better geared and have better rep and will be more likely invited along to raids as a fill-in in the future - because i do still like the chaos that is 25+ man content.

    I multibox for the power it brings...to actually have a huge proactive impact in pvp. I'm pretty sure horde outnumber ally on Frostmourne, I'm just helping even them back out :P

    Nothing better than 1 shotting someone.

    As for what would I trade to go back to single boxing...revert the lifebloom nerf, leave it at 10 second duration, make the mana cost the old value and increase the healing co-effecient for it. And revert the Wild Growth nerf too.

    I'd say one that's complex enough that it was basically impossible to multibox.

    Also I'd like consequences and to be able to change things. Actually be part of building/changing the world. The static/Disney World style thing gets old.

    I'd like magic to be something mysterious and cool and complex rather than the button spam fest that it is in all MMO's I've played. I'd like to cast less and have it do more, be an event you know.

    I'd like death to matter. Actually, I like the permadeath idea, but a lot of things have to change to make people not just run away screaming. Leveling can't be the crazy grindfest that it is in all MMO's and you'd have to have some benefits carry over etc.

    All in all a better MMO would provide more enjoyment from the doing (fighting, questing, crafting) than the having (gear).

    I want more quests that involve tasks such as the bombing runs, because the actual killing on daily quests always becomes extremely trivial.

    i would like a better mix of pvp and pve than is currently offered in wow. I didn't play on a pvp realm because i didn't want to be ganked all the time. but i do enjoy pvp so bg's and arenas are fun. but maybe more pvp zones would be better. there is usually 2-3 zones you can go to level your toon, make one of those zones a pvp zone. if you want to pvp you can go there if you don't than go to another zone. mix up the rewards so going to the pvp zone is either quicker leveling or better rewards, e.g. more gold or better loot. make it worth the extra pain pvp can be. the world events are great keep coming up with new things for players to do as a society. e.g. the sunwell plateau battle royal was enjoyable because you kept unlocking more things the longer you fought.

    it would be nice to capture some small towns and turn them to your faction, (similar to the halaa, but without the bombing run aspect) blizzard tried this in outlands with the pvp events but after awhile most people stopped doing them.

    i'd also like to see blizzard recycle some of the older endgame instances and make them playable again, like they did with naxx. like dire maul, shat, schole, (AQ was never unlocked in my realm and never will at this point). they only reason they recycled naxx was it was relevent to the storyline, and very few people got attuned, and the developers considered it the best instance created. so lets have something happen in Molten Core that makes level 70+ go there again.


    I think i would like more choice in how the game is played. i think blizzard has the best game so far, but many times you don't have much choice in what you do.

    Multi-boxing is my way of relaxing from raiding. It also gives me the ability to farm instance drops at my own pace. It was always a pain trying to get people to go do old 5-mans for those rare patterns (the three 2-pc tailoring patterns, tons of enchanting recipes, etc.) It also gives me the ability to help out my guild to fill whatever spot they need. Short on healers? Short on tanks? Short on dps? Need 2 dps and a healer? I can fill those spots and help my guild better than I could before.

    Most anti-boxing people that have actually taken the time to talk with me are OK with this as well. The majority of anti-boxing people I've had contact with are the ones who think it gives an unfair advantage in PvP. I point out the fact that I have 0 HKs total on my entire team and it pretty much shuts them up .

    Pretty much the same. As my wife popped out more and more kids I had less and less time to play. This is my way of still being able to do things in this game.
