I know it can be done as I saw a boxer recently. The game is so hardware hungry, I am not sure if 2 on 1 pc...even a monster system would be possible. I can not even alt tab out of mine without it locking up.
Currently to my knowledge its not possible to run 2 mulitboxed accounts on one computer for Lotro. I myself have wanted to do this. Issue has to do with Lotro as a background window and keyclone's ability to communicate with it. Only way it can be done currently and I am doing it, is 2 computers. Then it works fine.
It is possible however to get 2 lotro accounts to run at the same time on the same computer. I took the info I read and tested it myself and my system had no problem running it.
Could you explain how you are getting both to run at the same time on the same computer. I keep getting an error that it can't bind the socket on the second account.Originally Posted by 'Xtremepayne',index.php?page=Thread&postID=139884# post139884
The 2nd account has to be accessing from a different location, and both need to be started up at about the same time.
I did all that. Still got the error. What I found was this: UserPreferences.ini file (which should be located in your Documents\The Lord Of The Rings Online folder) under the section [Net] and look for the line:
ComputeUniquePort=True
Change True to False.
You still have to have them start from different folders. However, as of today, you can start them separately now. Tomorrow "Mines of Moria" is released. I hope it still works.
It's better to do it this way:Originally Posted by 'Xtremepayne',index.php?page=Thread&postID=144362# post144362

This way is better, because you can use different setups.
I use a tool to start the different accounts. You can download it here: http://www.michael-puff.de/Developer.../RunAsUser.zip
