    So.....
say someone has 3 wow acc's and one computer with win XP on it and another XP'ish machine...
(the xp'ish machine was an XP machine but now has a fresh HDD)
    1) What os should be run on the 2nd machine? xp or linux? keep EASY in mind (also im no n00b to linux)
    2) should there be 2 toons on the main machine and 1 on the secondarry? or vise-versa?
    3) Whats the easiest class/class's to 3box? ie. Mage's or Shamans? or ????
    4) should I go software, or hardware to send keystrokes between the two machines? and why?
    5) what software/hardware do you all recommend? (I'd like to hear both hardware and software recommendations)

Thanks In Advance for your reply's

    1. Since you'll probably want to use a software solution like Keyclone or Octopus, I think you should run the same OS.
    2. Whichever is most powerful should probably run the 2.
    3. Shamans are pretty easy but I really need a tank for instances myself.
    4. Whichever you prefer. Keyclone is probably cheaper than KVM switching and has some nice features such as key mapping, do no pass functionality, etc.
    5. See 1. and 4.

ok well i use AHK now with two accounts on my main machine. I guess I can put XP on 2nd machine and run 1 account there. is there a way to get AHK to send keystrokes to the 2nd computer? I read the AHK forum a little and saw a client/server ahk script but its a bit confusing.

    link to the server/client script
    Code:

While I'm at it should I just spend the $$ on keyclone? is it that much easier to setup? does it handle multiple machines with ease?

EDIT: OK I'm really thinking about just going with keyclone, I just have one question that isnt answered on the site. Would I have to buy two coppies of keyclone? one for each machine or just one to work on both?

    TIA

The ONLY problem with Keyclone is that you need to buy a license for every system and that license has a unique key to that system. So, if you change your hardware setup or have to reformat or otherwise change your system, there is a chance that Keyclone will break. However, if this happens, Rob has been very responsive with the fix.
HotKeyNet is free, works great across your LAN on two or three systems, but is a little tougher to setup. If you want to run more than two WoW clients on one system, I suggest InnerSpace + Clickboxer. InnerSpace does a superior job with window management. Swapping from any sized any resolution window from background to foreground or PiP is much, much, much faster than anything else that I have tried.
