Default If I run 5 Horde Shammies with macro's and keybinds setup etc..could I make an alliance set with the same things easy?

    Pretty simple question.

Now that macro's are stored server side I think I might have screwed myself.

I know the keybindings and keystrings are easy but I'm not sure on the macros...

Assuming you're on a PVE server, why not just try it and then tell us? Would take you all of two minutes.

Yes. You can still copy your macro file and using certain script commands read the macro file and save it server side.

Addons like Macaroon and TrinityBars also greatly simplify the whole keybindings/button layouts/macros thing greatly through the use of profiles.

Worst case, login to your horde and copy the macros to wordpad and save it on your desktop, then recreate them once you login on your ally toon. Or if you have room, you can copy them from the personal to the public tab in the macros interface in wow... I keep a copy of my macros in wordpad just for a backup anyway...

I nailed this pretty easy. Took me about 45 minutes to setup but I used all the same macro's from my horde chars and cause I have all the keybinds identical from horde->alliance cause I don't use character specific settings other then macro's I was able to pull this off with ease.

As for the macro's I just copied them from WOW folder of my horde to the specific alliance shammy I wanted it on. The only hard part about this was changing the names in my macro's from my horde shammies to the alliance ones but it was fast.

I use keyclone so I just used the same keymaps for my alliance shammies from my horde and they all work with ease. Also I used the same maximizer setup as my horde so I didn't have to add anything.

Already make level 10 in like an hour of play time!!!!!
