I'm going to remind everyone that the original thread was locked appropriately for referencing botting.
The OP is aware that he referenced botting, and wishes to reiterate that it is not his intention any longer.
I'll also remind a few of you (particularly the ones in this thread who admit that they, in the past, have botted) that we all come from different places. Some of us made mistakes in the past. Like Blizzard, a ban for doing something wrong (botting, harassment, whatever) doesn't necessarily mean a complete ending. You create a new account, a new, fresh start, and you get another chance.
We haven't given the OP a chance, yet. So let's play nice. Not everyone is perfect, not everyone starts out in the right place. We all have made mistakes, so let's give the OP the benefit of the doubt and assume that he means what he is saying. After all, some of you in this thread have been in the same position and have similar histories with nefarious products.
Keeping our hobby clean doesn't mean you can't have made mistakes in the past. Nobody is 100% infallible. So let's be nice, ok?

I mean, just read this page (15 minutes), create two accounts (5 minutes), roll two *whatever ranged class* (5 minutes), make a /follow and an /assist macro (15 minutes, forum reading included), group the characters and send them killing level 1 wolves together (10 minutes). Here you go, you are multi-boxing.
About the time factor, I think if you have so little time, you should probably not play MMOs in the first place. Multi-boxing does not eat more time than normal playing, but it is quite a lot of time due to the nature of the game.
Then you can elaborate on that, using more advanced functions, making more macros, etc ... Besides, there is still a lot to do once you are set up. You need to set up new macros and tricks as you gain more spells while levelling. I don't see how you will be able to do these (more complex) things if you didn't go through the process of learning the (easy) early part.

And I know learning is a journey, blah blah blah, but I have an end product that I want to achieve and I don't want to waste time on prerequisites. I got a couple PMs, would be nice to get a couple more for comparitive pricing.

Seems smart to me - if you don't have the time to set something up yourself pay someone else to do it.
Sometimes things click together that bit quicker when you see it working, and have the components explained to you.
I see it no different to driving a car - you don't necessarily need to know what's going on under the hood to enjoy driving. You just won't know how to fix it if it gets broken (You just have to pay someone else to fix it).

This depends entirely on who deploys it. I've done thousands of IT deployments that include basic training and maintenance instructions. An experienced individual could easily setup a multiboxing rig for someone and give them the basics for what it takes to maintain it. The only real issues I can see would be major changes in the setup such as BT3 being unsupported when BT4 came out.

Sorry to be honest but
If you don't have time to figure it out yourself, you won't have time to multiboxer, especially not level them all.
Step 1: figure out how to not get power surges
step 2: keyclone ( x 5)
step 3: good interweb connection
step 4: 5 x shammans with first 4 letters similar, last 4 different
step 5: ??
step 6: profit.
5 chars? You can do that with 2 computers, easy. My "main" holds 2, flawlessly. Im going to be adding my laptop into the mix to hold one more, possibly one more for kicks.
