Next mount grind fest

After i get my nether drake i plan on doing another grind fest for epic mount. Now i basically have 2 left to go after the talbuk and the CE flier.

The CE is basically a grind in the instance cause i already did all the quests. I might be able to handle heroic (haven't tried), but i can probably do SV normal with no problem.

The talbuk, i did all the quests expect for the greatmother quest line (well i did the first quest cause they just ask you to talk to her, but nothing else). The greatmother quest is a 14 quest chain, that gets some good xp. Any additional rep i need i can grind orcs.

I was going to wait till the expansion to do the grind, but in the mean time i can do one of them in the 2 weeks i have left. What will give the bigger xp bonus, this way i can wait and do that last cause that will lvl me quicker. I am thinking do the CE grind till the expansion and then do the quest line.

Here is the other thing, the orcs give 10 rep per kill if they are at least green and if they are gray i will only get 2 per kill. There lvl range is about 65-66. Which means that i only have about 1 lvl or 2 before they come gray. Doing the quest line might just put me 1 or 2 lvls to make them gray and if the quest line doesn't get me exulted the grind will take forever once the orcs are gray.

What i can do is find out the rep the quest line gives and then figure out how many orcs i need to kill

As a time filler until WotLK I'm currently doing the mount grinds myself. Right now I'm working on my Netherray quests, I only started a few days ago. With the exception of my multi-box group(s) all of my other characters have their Talbuks, it's normally the first mount I go after. A couple of my characters have their CE mount, unfortunately, it's not as impressive as one would hope.

Can you grind the non-heroic version for rep? I was under the impression non-heroic stopped granting rep at some point.

with sp and ub you can only get to honored. SV i believe you can get all the way to exulted.

The greatmother chain is a good 7000 rep, i believe. i havent thought about it in several months, so i could be wrong. this all ends with thrall returning to Nagrand.

in any case, you can still get 10 rep per orge if you move to the other various ogre zones. Im 70 and i dont see them turning gray yet, even the lower level ones southeast of Nagrand. if they do turn gray to you, just hit up the ones around Halaa, by the Circle of Blood, and there's lots to the west in the mountains. the warbeads are bind on pickup, so you'll probably have issues spreading that out amongst everyone in your group.

Once I managed to achieve the Nether ray mounts, which should take no more than two weekends -- if that. I'll be going after the CE mounts just for the hell of it.

I beg to differ. I love the sound when you summon it. I find it impressive

I guess its all personal preference. I was also hoping for more than a single coloured mount. In the pre-patch screenshots it shows 3 different coloured mounts, but only 1 is available for purchase.
