    Default DM West complete!

Took my 4 demonology warlocks + 1 holy priest into DM west last night (at midnight since the lag makes the game completely unplayable any other time) and got their epic mounts!

The team was 1 level 63 warlock (old main who had the key to the instance and the mats to summon) + 3 level 60 warlocks and a level 60 priest.

The instance was easy all the way until the actual event. One shotted every boss in the way, only had one death up until the end event (my priest) which was my own fault - a mob wasn't getting tanked and priest got aggro and died.

    The actual event:
To preface this, one additional reason it was tougher was because I switched my main control character over to the 63 warlock so that I could click on the 3 floating glyphs. Unfortunately I hadn't taken the time to set up his UI or additional keybindings very well so bleh.

First attempt on the event failed because my priest was throwing shadow word pain along with the curse of shadows being thrown by my warlocks. His dot does a bit more immediate damage so the imps started only attacking him and he died about 25% into the event. Since I didn't have good control over my demons the mobs were also interrupting me as i tried to reactivate the glyphs. I lasted a while longer and probably around 66% the rest of my team died.

Second attempt I was able to complete the event even though I wiped at about 90%. If I had bound and used enslave demon on the big guys I'm sure this entire thing would be easy, but that gets pretty tricky and I'm already trying to micromanage keeping mobs off my main and clicking on the glyphs. I stuck to my main tab + dot strategy and used my demons to keep the mobs off my main. Like I said I wiped at 90% and the event completed successfully anyway. Sucks I wasn't able to do it better, but I was happy to be done with it since I was almost completely out of shards on my main.

First attempt at the dreadsteed and his master failed because I underestimated how tough they were and forgot about the knockback the horse does. He literally knocks whatever has aggro about 50 yards away. My demon tanking it died and he started knocking my team all over the place, which quickly resulted in a wipe. I rezzed and downed the bosses on the second attempt without too much difficulty.

Quest complete! Leveled everyone to 61 (and one to 64) and got 3 dreadsteeds woo!

Awesome job! I remember doing that quest on my lock with a group of 70s backing her up and it was crazy. I can only imagine the chaos of boxing it.

That event is a blast as a multiboxer. I did it with three afflic-spec locks, holy priest and prot pally. I actually had a hell of a time getting to the boss and clearing the area, wiped a lot and generally had a really bad time of it. Once the demons started spawning though, it was much fun. Got through it and the dreadsteed fight on the first shot. I saved the summoning items in case I'd have a chance to go through it again with some other lock, but now I'm 70 and probably wouldn't dig it as much.

My main is a 70 lock that luckily I kept the components for the summoning. I have been levelling 4 other locks up as well. Once they hit 60, I got all of the components together and made off to Dire Maul to do this. All 5 are specced demo with felguards. I keep my main felguard on taunt, the rest of the felguards, taunt is turned off. I cleared the entire place with these guys without one death whatsoever.

For the final part, I put all the felguards on aggro so they could take out the imps and the felguards as they came. I didnt even bother to try and enslave one. All in all, it was a cakewalk. The pets stayed up. When things got chaotic, I would seed here and there with the 70 lock and that would clear the place up. It was super easy and now all 5 have their dreadsteeds. =)
