I had 5 accounts. I moved some toons across accounts and ditched 2. I used 2 of the 3 remaining accounts to recruit 2 new accounts. In about 90 days I have leveled 14 toons to 60. I've spent a lot of time doing it but to do the same the old-fashioned way would ahve easily taken 4 months or more.

My vote is yes, I had 4 other accounts that had the remainder of my first 5box team. I had gotten them up to 50 when I finially gave in for the RAF (tho I'm stil trying to figure out the grantig thing). Now I have 1 40 team, a 30 team, and I haven't granted any levels yet. I got the new accounts last Saturday. So time wise it's fantastic, Just the 3x xp alone makes it worth it to me.

I had 5 accounts when RAF came out and got 4 more accounts and absolutely do not regret it one bit. It was well worth it. My RAF is up November 4th and at this time I have:

    5 Druids level 62
    5 Locks level 62
    5 Shamans level 64
    5 Rogues level 60
    5 Mages level 17
    5 Hunters level 12
    1 Pally level 59
    1 Priest level 60

If I did not drop my other accounts and go RAF there is no way possible I could have all these teams.

ok, sounds like RAF is worth the cost.

So now I'm trying to make sense of this quote about RAF level granting from the Wiki
    2. X refers one account and then the rest link to another account from there. Ponzi at it's finest:

    X>A
    A>B
    B>C
    C>D

Offers many granted levels to toons accounts X,A,B, and C and 4 zhevras, but you can't use your 70 main to boost. This configuration does not require any single toon to be on for XP, but does require the proper pairings to be present in a chain of the referrals to get the XP. In this set up D gets no referral levels, while C gets levels from D, and X, A, and B all get levels from the referred plus levels gain extra referred levels because the referring account gets referral levels while accepting the referred levels. _someome please rewrite that in 4 paragraphs or less for me_
    Partilcularly the part about:
X, A, and B all get levels from the referred plus levels gain extra referred levels because the referring account gets referral levels while accepting the referred levels.

    does that mean that:
If Account C is granted levels from Account D. Account C can then use those levels to granted levels to B, A and/or X.

    Example:
Account D has a level 60 Character, it grants 30 levels to a character on Account C.

Account C now has 15 "free" levels to grant to Accounts B, A, and/or X

RAF is super fast from 1-60 but ONLY 1-60 as you lose the 3x XP bonus and don't get any more fee levels after 60!

So it's worth it if you plan on leveling up a bunch of 60's. But if you have 5 accounts already and they are high level then don't worry about it as you won't get much benefit after 60.

If you can't stand to level 1-60 then just buy a PL for the accounts to 60 and play 60-70.
    Horde:
    5 80 BE Paladins (Ret)
    3 80 Orc Hunters
    1 80 Orc Shaman (Resto)
    1 80 Death Knight (Tank/DPS)

    Alliance:
    80 Hu Death Knight DPS
    80 Hu Paladin (Tank)
    70 Hu Priest S2 (Disc)
    72 Dr Shaman (Resto)

    Tons of 60's Horde/Alliance

    My RAF Decision Tree:

    1) Do you already have accounts? If no, skip to #6; If yes, continue to #2
    2) Do you plan to boost (keeping in mind that this method will be hotfixed at ANY time as confirmed by a blue GM)? If no, continue to #3; If yes, skip to #7
    3) Are your characters on the accounts level 40+ (about halfway to 60)? If no, skip to #5; If yes, continue to #4
    4) Do you plan on making any new groups in the next 90 days? If no, skip to #10; If yes, continue to #5
    5) Create (current number of accounts) * (1/2) accounts (rounded up) and RAF them to (current number of accounts) * (1/2) of your existing accounts. Repeat until number of desired RAF-linked accounts is achieved. END DECISIONMAKING PROCESS.
    6) Create brand new RAF linked accounts (either linked A->B->C or A<-B/A<-C depending on how you want to allocate Zhevras) until desired number of RAF-linked accounts is achieved.
    7) Do you have a high-level character to boost with? If yes, continue to #8; If no, skip to #9;
    8) Create 4 RAF-linked accounts (utilizing 2 of your existing accounts, if available) and leave the high-level character's account unlinked. Commence boosting. END DECISIONMAKING PROCESS.
    9) Level a prot pally to 70 (or bribe a friend), and return to step #7.
    10) Do not utilize RAF. You're already halfway to 60 and don't plan on making any alt groups within the next 90 days, so the cost of RAF is probably not worth it. END DECISIONMAKING PROCESS.

I dig the Flow chart! thats how I tend to work through items, so laying out a logic flow put everything on paper. Thanks for the time invested in creating that!

This is a good question, and one I'm interested in as well. can you use just any old account Key in RAF or does it have to come through the Blizzard website?

You need to start with the RAF email and set up the 10 day trial accounts, then you can upgrade to the full accounts via battle chest keys or indiviual box keys. I did miss out on the concept that the vet can't grant levels to the recruit ( I thought it could go both ways). Regadless even without the level grants the xp itself is awsome and just worth that in itself.
