Default RAF worth it if you have accounts already?

I have 5 accounts (with BC not WotLK) right now, I've collected them over the years starting on new servers and not wanting to tie up a character, or just buying them for family in the hopes of them starting to play.

However, leveling up on normal accounts is uber slow, esp when I read about "OMG 1-70 in 3 seconds with RAF!!!!111one!"

What are the opinions of this community? I've gotten to about level 25 on 5 shaman, is it worth it to invest in 3 new accounts to have 2 legacy linked to 3 new RAF so I can level 5 chars with RAF? What are the opinions of this community?

So you think I should invest in the RAF and get 3 new accounts?

I got my 5th account the day before RAF came out

I sat on the fence about getting 3 more accounts and transferring my one team of seventies over. Even after considering the math, I sat on it for a while.

    Math:
Everything considered, the boxes themselves (in battlechest form) actually even out to be free if you get them for $30. You get one month free for the referrer and one month free for the new box key.

That makes the battlechest cost fee. Then my only remaining issue was the transfer costs.

I only had one team of 70's, so that meant $75 in account transfer costs. Something I could live with. I lost out on any pre-paid time I had on the other accounts, but that is now neglagable.

I'm having fun so far, and am able to level on several servers where I have friends. And try out new class combinations

Haha, RAF is what made me 10 box. 5 accounts were non-RAF... I went out and purchased 5 more, got them to 60 in no time.

RAF makes things so much easier. I don't think I would have gotten into multi-boxing without it.

You turn in a quest and bam, your XP bar goes up 1/5 to 1/4 of the way. Triple XP on mobs and quests is HUGE. But on top of that you get the 29 levels to give away (when you hit 60).

Yes, I think you should invest in RAF and get 3 new accounts. It will be much faster and you'll not only have new characters that you can level up equally, but you'll get them to level 70 much faster than if you didn't have RAF and used your existing characters. With 3 times experience on quests and on kills, my observation is that it goes a lot faster than 1/3 of the time if you didn't have 3 times experience. Maybe it's just me but it certainly seemed like it was much quicker.

ok, sounds like RAF is definatly worth it.

now the question is, do I get involved with rolling new 5boxers now, or wait till I get my mains to 80, since WotLK is about to come out and RAF is only good for what, 90days?

worth it or not really depends on how much you think your time is worth

are the tons of hours you save RAF'ing worth $40 x # accounts?
that's probably yes to most people, especially if you truly want to play multiple teams

but so far i'm still only considering getting a second team
so for me, it's not worth it
