    Default Some Problems im having.

Hello. I recently decided to try multiboxing on wow.
I am now having some issues with Keyclone.
My main problem with keyclone is sometimes when doing something in the 3rd instance of the game. It goes nuts. Like the right mouse button is being held down and the mouse is being swung around. Is this a known issue?
Also Keyclone seems to Lockup and im not sure what to do about that either.

Finaly, Is there a way to make a macro that allows me with a button press to set the 2 "Folowers" to folow my main guy?

    Regards. Jono

For the keyclone issues I cant help, but for macros there is a whole section in these forums what will help.

I also got keepfollowing ( a mod) that even when the slaves stop following they immediately resume following, I like it.

I get that problem too occasionally, usually on my 4th window, bottom right. Keyclone has a bug that tends to kick your cursor back to the main window or to the center of it as you cross the border or gap between instances. It seems that I get the spinnies when the cursor gets booted back while I'm clicking. If you could click in the spinning window (it's basically mouselook that's gotten stuck) you could stop it but your cursor always zaps back to main window.

Two things I do to fix it. One is I hit my follow macro, which focuses that little airhead back to following the party leader instead of playing My Little Dervish.

The other thing I do is hit my PiP swap to bring that spinning window to the main window and then click in it and regain control. Then I swap back.

edit: and as noted there are many ways to handle autofollows, the FTL searched above, zanthor's Hydra (if you search for that term it should come up) Zorba's Targat and Hold are all systems people use. Though I strongly recommend you go to the Macros and Addons forum here and get and read up on Jamba. I know it's a long long long thread but it's an incredibly useful tool for multiboxers. I've gone through and cut pasted all of the most useful posts from that thread into a word document, as my "manual" Can't recommend Jamba enough.

I had that exact same issue with Keyclone, and I resolved it quite easily.

There is a checkbox in the software called "Performance boost (XP only)" or something like that - UNCHECK that. If its checked it will make your mouse randomly swing around periodically. Once I unchecked that months ago I haven't had the problem since.

I'm a hardware boxer and I sometimes throw myself in a spin if I switch from multicasting to KVM too quickly.

    A brief explanation:
For every keypress, there is both a "keydown" event and a "keyup" event. So, when you hold down a button, there is a longer period of time between the "keydown" and "keyup" events.

Now take a look at multiboxing (software and hardware). Let's say you were broadcasting keys to all clients and you held down your "move forward" key (either "w" or "up arrow"). Then you decided to turn broadcasting off. What do you think would happen when you release the "move forward" button?

Active client = stops moving, because they receive a "keyup" signal
All other "background" clients = continues moving, because (since you turned off broadcasting) you are no longer broadcasting the "keyup" signal to all clients, so all they've seen is a "keydown"

The same goes for the mouse. If you're too quick to swap screens and you don't actually release the buttons before changing to a different screen, that client will never receive the signal that the button is released.

Understanding the cause of the problem is the start to resolving it. Just be careful when you're mashing buttons or swapping between screens rapidly -- make sure every screen that gets the "keydown" event also gets the "keyup" event.

Its not checked for me, but that preaty much describes my problem

Very infrequently, one of my non-active Keyclone windows will spin around anytime I move the mouse cursor to that window.
Pretty much the only way to fix it, is to press the PiP key for that window, and then to double mouse click so the character moves forward.

I don't know what causes it, but for example opening the gryphon flightpath's on all clients or a vendor window to sell junk and repair, will rarely cause this.

Minimizing the window also fixes it. But it would be nice to know what causes it

    Another question =D,
Are melee classes feasible to multibox with. are there any melee classes that lend them selves to multiboxing better than others.
    thanks
