Neither keystroke nor octopus will work

I got the keystroke program from the button on this site's homepage, but when i went to try it in game with 2 shaman it wouldn't do anything.
I just tried to get them both to cast lightning at the same time. I set up the second account with a /assist /cast spell macro i know thats not the problem I've dealt with macros before. Whenever i start keystroke up it says the license is expired.

So i found out about Octopus i downloaded that one, it says its free so i dont think the lack of a license is stopping it, but when i start that one up i get a "Octopus has encountered an error and has to close" send an error report window. so i dont know what i am doing wrong.

I don't know about Octopus, but I would say your problem with Keyclone is that you don't have a license...

Well, I do know that Octopus is not being actively maintained because the guy is making two new programs to replace it, and that a huge expansion-sized patch just popped last week which could potentially make it interesting to get working.

Octopus does need Dot Net 3.5 installed and that is usually the reason you get the error on start up, try that.

Haha yeah I kinda figured that...

but I do not have Dot Net 3.5 installed so I'm guessing that's my problem.
