Indeed, many flash-based SSDs write so slowly that you would almost get things done more quickly with punch cards. But the main way they can act to speed up WoW is by providing rapid reads, which is easier to get without paying $$$$ per machine. Back up the data files to it & use symlinks (not going to go into detail beyond that since there are loads of threads on it).

Of course, patching could take a while. ;(


Oh, and...everything is MUCH slower than reading from memory. So make sure you have enough, because nothing else can really make up for it if you don't.
