Impressions from arenas, 5v5 team one-shotted

Did 10 games for points this week..

Conclusions:

* First the positive: In one game, I F***ING ONE-SHOTTED AN ENTIRE 5 PLAYER TEAM, all S4 gear. They just got too close and got hit with Novas + CL + Thunder. By some stroke of luck, they all died in one big explosion. KABLAM! Epic feeling, probably my most hilarious WoW moment ever. But that's pretty much the only positive thing I have to say about this.

* It's very, very laggy - barely playable. 5-6 second latency spikes.

* There are many oddball teams at rather high rating exploiting new, possibly unbalanced mechanics.
Examples:
4x retripala + restoshaman (windfury), ouch.. over within 10 seconds. They bubble and kill your team, nothing to it.
mage+warrior+retripala+rogue+rogue, ouch.. CC immune warriors and CoS rogues take you out with ease now.

* Shaman can get instagibbed hard and fast by several other classes.

* It is possible to kill people with Nova+EM+TS, but only barely. Usually you will need a shock or a CL to make a kill with this combo.

* Thunderstorm seems to get spell reflected by warriors somehow. Not sure how this works.


As it looks at the moment, shaman team is not viable for high end arena until level 80. There are just too many superior burst dps classes out there. We got farmed by the paladins+restoshaman setup 4-5 times, not a chance.

I haven't run into Thunderstorm Being reflected yet....But my Pally's Hammer Of justice stun got reflected back at me =(

got the same 4+1/pala team 3 times today .. first -17, then -11, then -2 in just 2 hours.
no need to say they just run on me and bam .. my team dead in 5 sek.

also got a 5/mage team, insane damage with only casting nova/frost .. again my team dead in 5 sek.

but the best today, a warlock in AV with 700k damage, second place was one of mine with 400k.

nothing, absolut nothing is balance right now.

i tried an arena... Tried casting CL on a shaman and a few seconds later when i saw that i landed my main and my healer were dead.

Right now there is no point in trying arena. At least not on my battlegroup due to lag. So I haven't done any yet since patch.

Which is a shame, I really want to aim for 1950! :<

Not sure if lag was fixed during the latest downtime, but I suspect so.
I haven't had much problems with lag since the maintenance this week, although I haven't tried arenas yet.
