I got it. 8)

This boss is very easy, I let my healer dps becuase I don't need the heals. However, if you let him live to long he throws off pumpkins that create adds but it still wasn't an issue. This happened on my first go when my healer wasn't dpsing.

He really is easy. Just make sure you nuke the head whenever it detaches. Killed him ten times in ~30 minutes. After five kills, you have to go reset the instance apparently.
I've seen someone with the new mount: It's a black warlock-type horse with yellow-greenish glow on the feet -- quite pretty.

I was wondering what the drop rate is, if tauren could use it, and if you can keep it forever...
Does anyone know?

For me this is a daily quest, can spawn it once for each member of my group. What is the secret you are using that allows you to do it more times than once per group member? Inquiring minds want to know.

I read something about another quest which gets him to spawn but this can only be done once per char. So you will only get two tries one day only, then its one a day after that. - hope that made sense!

Yea, last year it was the same way. And you gave me a very good idea for getting the mounts for all my characters....

Go to brill (I don't know where allies go) and get the quest to kill the HH. This is your typical quest, once you have done that (or if you didn't get the quest from brill) you can do the daily quest. So for a fresh group you can summon him 10 times on the first day (once each for the quest and the once each again for the daily) and then 5 times each day after.

On a side note visiting each inn on my priest (at level 54) has given me 5400xp so it may be worth getting a mage to port your teams around and go visit each and every inn and get some easy and free xp as well as completing the hallow's end achivement for it.

JUST finished Horseman with my Shaman/Pali team. Got Helm and Sword along with a melee ring in 1 kill, rest were all caster rings. At this rate I should have all Shamans wearing a pair of rings from in a day or two. Everybody's in the blue pvp gear, with vendor gems, and a few assorted greens (one has spell power shield from ZA with an Epic gem though) The fight is really easy, just go for the head. ALWAYS the head. If your dps is focused on the head as soon as it pops, you'll kill him no problem. I think you could even just kill him without breaking follow if you really wanted. No mount yet, but I've got about 20 more resets to do on him today.

I had the caster ring drop on all 5 of my kills this morning, and the broom twice, the sword twice, the plate helm once, and a bunch of of the throwing pumpkins. Incidentally... buzzing people in shat on the brooms and mailing them with pumpkins, evil cackle and all is enormously entertaining. Not one of his mounts droped yet though... Ill try it x5 every day until I either get one for each shaman, or I run out of time. Wish me luck.
