    Default Fighting For Days

Well since I have 2 good computers and 2 accounts I decided to jump into multiboxing.

My setup is using 2 computers with Synergy and Keyclone (purchased a copy for each computer). Got both of those working great. Keyclone passes keys just fine between both clients. My issue is that I most of the guides I find are for multiple wow instances running on the same box.

So I am asking if there is a guide for my setup and what macros would work best for 2 computers running 2 keyclones. Help before I pull more hair out of my head.

    Thanks

well.. we wouldn't want to mess up that big p3rm, now would we?

setting up keyclone for multiple machines is almost exactly the same as setting up for one... except you just have to connect the keyclones together.
to do this, notice the ip and port in the titlebar of each keyclone. on machine B, go to the main keyclone screen... to the right of the 'connect' button, and type the iport of the keyclone on machine A. then click 'connect'.

if all is working, you should see a line on both keyclones, ocassionally passing ping data back and forth. then start your wows on each machine as if they were stand alone.

at that point, any key you press on one wow ... will be passed to all others. that's pretty much it.

oh, and don't forget about override (default hotkey toggle: PAUSE next to printscreen in the upper right of the keyboard).
override will stop keyclone from sending the keys to the other wows... allowing you to login if you have different passwords... talk in guild without echoing... or whatever.

if you have any other questions, please feel free to drop me a note.

    have a great night,

    Rob

Hey Rob thanks for the advice I really appreciate it.

Yeah I can pass keys in wow from both machines. It's just there is a lot of info and opinions on whats best for follow/target/attack setups. Combined with different mods as well. So I have just been trying to take a stab and different setups with little success.

Some people say DNP x,y,z keys in keyclone and others use them. Or try this macro. So it's a mix match so far.

I'm playing around with 2 shamans at the moment. And people stop by laugh and say "you are still here"? Haha

I'll get it I'm sure it's just finding the right setup for what I need.

    Default Multi PC Keyclone

    Keyclone,
First Thanks a ton for an awesome program! It works like a charm. I'm able to play 5 SHaman on 1 PC with no problems (unless I roll through Shatt at peak play time, and then I get a little choppy)
However, I was considering balancing the load a little by having a 3/2 set up on 2 computers.
Will I need to purchase a second copy of Keyclone for that 2nd system? if so, thats not a problem as its money well spent.
BTW, the only "issue" ive seen with KC is when I close all 5 accounts at once, sometimes it gets cranky and yells that the memory cant be written to or something, nothing devistating just starteling when you hear that loud Windows XP BING! that something has gone wrong with an application... I can post the actual error if you'd like. However othertimes it closes gracefully.

I used to have this problem (on Vista) before 3.0.2. Now, they all seem to close down a lot quicker.

    Just an update.

I found the issue with my macros were syntax errors on my part. Been away from wow for a few months.
Another issue was out of date mods or changes to the updated mods not working the same as they used to. Ie bartender3/bartender4..

So still working on building macros but it's going much better today.
