So, I just 5 boxed kara =D

so you guys are telling me that is it completely possible to just 5 man this instance..? can you compare it's difficulty (Mob HP, dmg taken, positioning) to another heroic out there?

so if 3.0.2 totally killed the 10 man challenge of Kara (reducing it to super easy mode with 10), have any of the heroics been dumbed down as well? I wouldn't mind getting some easy badges.. although i guess farming badges at this point in time is pretty much useless with the xpac right around the corner, which will be replacing badge gear pretty quickly..

I just did the mechanar and botanica on heroic with 5 druids, 4 of them level 69 only the tank was lvl 70. the difference between normal mode and heroic became very small.

i just cleared attumen (i know it's not much, but still.. mostly blues here!), and would've worked my way to moroes but i have to run to work.. a quick question for you folks.
For moroes, do i just kill ALL the people with him? (1 pally 4 shaman), or do i have ot do something fancy? I guess i could pick off each guest one by one, and then focus on moroes, but i'm not sure how u guys did it. Any advice would be helpful.

I guess i better get enchants on my gear and some glyphs, that might help a bit, and spellpower food and stam food and stuff like that. I was soo happy when attumen went down. I know my dps isn't uber leet yet, but one day..

If the add that mana burns or the add that stuns are there I kill them. Otherwise just nuke moroes. If you take too long things will get a little ugly due to the bleeds. Youll most likely want one restro however unless your tank is really good equipped. Earth shield + glyph of lhw + lhw == near infinite healing. Also earth shield makes maiden and most other boss fights _alot_ easier. For instance earth shield alone can keep my pally up on curator pre enrage and illhoof.

Thanks for this info, it should really really help me. I tried Moroes like 4 times yesterday and wipeeeeed 4/4 on him. I can't remember what adds there were, all i knew was to kill the ladies first! (there were 2 of em, and i just pictured they were Menzoberrean High Priests of Lolth), but shortly after dispatching the two women, i noticed that my shamans were starting to drop due to the bleed that Moroes puts on. I never thought to all out DPS Moroes from the get-go. I'm not sure if i have that kind of deeps for that as of yet. My pally is Kara geared yes, and my shamans are kinda like blue'd and some kara pieces, and s2 helm i guess, so I'm probably not there yet in terms of gear. It's not that i run out of mana or anything (thank you 3.0.2), it's just that i don't think i have the DPS for this yet. Attumen dropped pretty fast and easy, but maybe i'm just running the Moroes encounter wrong.

Just yesteday, i bought glyphs for my Shaman's LB reduced by 10% and for my resto to get that special LHW increase by 20%. I have yet to try this encounter again since then, but maybe those glyphs might help. I've also purchased the consecration and spiritual attunement glyphs on my pally, so i guess after a few enchants (helm, stam), couple gems (+spellpower, crit), coupled with these new glyphs, i'll stand a better chance....

So I really wanted to try and solo the new boss in Kara, last week both my pally and warrior lost the rolls on the axe and I want one of them to get it!

I tried yesterday afternoon to do Attumen/Moroes with my prot pally + 4 ele shamans -- they are decently geared, between 750-900sd each, in mostly blues/epics although not much enchanted or gemmed.

Attumen was easy mode, Moroes trash was simple. Moroes however was too hard. I wiped 4-5 times on him, getting him to around 30% twice but losing too many. I actually went down and killed the monster boss below (bat) after wiping so much to vent my frustration on spiders, lol first time I've ever even gone down there.

Today I respec'd one of my shamans as resto and went back - I use "2" for my spam button, it consecrates on my pally and spams lightning bolt on my shamans. For my resto shaman, I changed it to spam lesser healing wave.

I 1 shotted Moroes, there were a few close calls when my pally dropped to 10% or less (thank you kaelthas's commendation!!) but it worked out ok. So IMO having a dedicated healer just makes the fight a TON easier. Some other tips and tricks - I tanked with my back to moroes, it makes my pally take a lot more damage but he is immune to Moroes gouge. I learned the very first try that if my Pally gets gouged, Moroes goes and kills everyone else.

I killed the shadowpriest first, she went down in under 20 seconds. After that I just burned moroes, I used chain lightning when I could and the other adds were dead by the 3d vanish. I dropped my fire elementals about 20 seconds into the fight, they lasted nearly to the end. Recount says the fight took 2 mins 41 secs, and when I went in a normal group last week it took 1 min 30 secs so not too bad.

The resto shaman was OOm by the end, I forgot to drop mana tide totem but it was ok, the ele shamans were at 1/3 - 1/2 mana. I used thunderstorm every cooldown, since it restores mana. I did have to chain heal a bunch of times since some people got garrotted (could have BOPd them but didn't want to switch targets on my pally) and had to have all shamans lesser heal my pally a few times when he got very low.
