Powershell single wow folder killed by patch.

Until the morning after this last patch droped, I had been using the Powershell script that had been shared some months ago on this site. It allowed for one main folder, and linked several different folders to that one, that only contained stuff like the WTF folder.. the character specific stuff, and had just links to the other portions of the main wow folder.
I use Windows Vista 32, and have every thing set to be done in Administration mode. From as far as I can tell none of my alt folders links have changed, and nothing in the main folder has had its location changed so far as I can tell.
My wow main folder is not in c:\programs, but just on the C drive.

Could any one shed some light on this for me, as I have not been able to get it working again, and would rather not make five full wow folders again. Thanks in advance for taking the time to help.

I have symbolic links set up, too, so the 4 WoW folders on my computer (C:\games\wow, F:\games\wow1, F:\games\wow2, and F:\games\wow3) all share 1 Data folder (G:\games\wow\data). I have Addons shared, too, so updating the addons in one automatically updates the others.

Anyway, the Patcher also updates files in the Base installation directory: for me, my C:\games\wow. I simply copied all the files in that folder to the other 3, and it works fine now.

I use the PowerShell link application posted in the software tools forum and have no problems with my single or 5 box installs. I'll be checking three other installations before the weekend but I'd say your error is coming from something else.

If your running on Vista Wow moved some of its files around, I run XP so i'm not sure where exactly but dig around your folders, something about a shared folder or something is what a guildie said.

I finally ended up deleting all the old symbolically linked folders, changing the name of the main folder, and tweaking the script to copy what was needed that some one else posted in an old forum post here. I can't remember the name to give proper credit, sorry. . I did not use powershell this time though. Just a bat script, put in each of the new folders I wanted the stuff copied to. Worked like a charm.
