    Default Don't show your avatar!

One or two (ok, ok, exactly one!) of the avatars people are using are making it difficult for me to reasonably look at this board from work, which is pretty much the only place I WANT to see it from.

Is there an option buried away somewhere to enable me to NOT see other peoples' avatars?

Bouncing cartoon tits and the like are all very nice, but they're a bit of a "look at me" on the screen in the office

    TIA.

edit: likewise with half-screen graphical signatures!

the boncy avatar is hosted on l00py.net

I think it's the only graphic in this forum which is hosted there.

so you can use the firefox browser, right click on the avatar and activate "block all graphics from loopy.net". So the avatar and all other graphics from loopy.net won't be loaded and so they won't be showed in firefox.

Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly I'm currently working at a security-conscious client site, with a thin client setup that doesn't let me edit my hosts file or choose what browser to use

So I'm stuck with IE and very little ability to configure even that.

If you have any issues with content on l00py.net, let me know (I own that site). As for work, you might just not load graphics at all if it makes that much difference.

Oh, I've no general issue with the content per sé - it's just that when I'm sneaking a quick peek at the forums while waiting for something else to finish / happen, I could do without the virtual "look at me " strobe light drawing attention to my screen

What I was hoping for was an option somewhere in the forum software itself to allow me to not view other peoples' avatars and signatures, but I guess that's not the case :?

Yes, yours exceeds it, but I run firefox and adblock, so I blocked it... :P

EDIT: here's the size limits, how can you ask if there is one when it TELLS you there is one when you go to upload it...

Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 342 KB.
