    Default Arrrgh - Maximizer

I'm trying to 5-box on my 24' widescreen..

    1920 x 1200 native resolition...

I was planning on splitting my screen in half, and then split each half into thirds.. (2/3 going to the main, and 1/3 to each other character.. each third is 640x600)

The top half would have 2 characters.
    the main: 1280x600 (top left)
    the healer: 640x600 (top right)

The bottom half would have my 3 DPS characters.
    each in a 640x600 area.

The problem is that if I use Maximizer, it messes up the image (streaching them out to cover the area instead of setting the resolution to that size.)

If I use the Maximizer in Keyclone, I get the same problem, but I also dont know how to set it up with the screen cut into thirds instead of halves.

    Anyone able to help me?

Do i need to use screen resolutions supported by wow?

I can't remember for sure, but I think your wow video settings need to be in "windowed mode"

I do have it in windowed mode... it does open them and place them in the correct location...

It just streches or compresses the screen to fit the area...

One is a very fat character, another is extra skinny

Just a thought - I haven't tried this - but what about using ViewPort from CTMods?

Ok first thing to do is edit your config.wtf file (found in the WTF directory)

there is an option gxResolution which will have a value in the format "1280x1024"

change this to the value you want for each instance

I also use cr_viewport (cutdown version of CT_viewport) it relies on configuration in a text file.

my 1920x1200 screen is partitioned with my main on top running 1920x700 and 2 clones at the bottom running 960x500

all these resolutions are not available through the wow gui but configuring gxresolution in the config.wtf means they are not being stretched / squeezed our of shape.

I run viewport on the main to give a smaller viewport for performance reasons and am achieving 30-60 fps (using keyclone to limit fps in inactive instances)

Mazimizer will rescale wow however it doesn't adjust the games resolution so you end up playing on a silly putty screen unless you set the resolutions by hand and get them right....

Keyclone doesn't suffer this for what it's worth.

@zanthor really? mine did, I had horrible stretched clones using keyclone

once there is more control over position and size in keyclone I will swap back to it thouhgh the convenience is great.

That was a problem originally in KeyClone, however the newer versions (Like the last 5 have been fine.)

I only just got it running 1.7r but even so it can't do the screen layout I require, still insufficient flexibility on the regions for me

Laelin, how did the gxResolution fix work for you?
