There is nothing that is universally good for everyone. Most of what people post is a matter of taste. In order to get a better appreciation of what a particular mod has to offer, it's important to compare it to the original setup. That's the only point trying to be made.

As far as i remember WoW comes with a default UI that works quite well, and most people usually try and play the game with it bit, and then change what they don't like or want to improve. They don't do the changes before hand because, well, they don't know.

Way back in the day... I was playing EQ and got an e-mail from Blizzard inviting me to join the WoW Closed Beta. I immediately got on the phone to a friend to see if he got in as well, and he sighed and said he had something he had to tell me... fucker had been playing F&F Alpha and already had a level 60 Rogue.

Anyhow, I downloaded the client and installed it, and before I even logged into the game my buddy said 'Hey, go check out www. cosmosui.org before you log in'... I did, installed it, and logged in for the first time, never having seen the default UI.

Time passed and I moved on from Cosmos to many of the other UI mods, never playing with the default when something better existed. Then I started multiboxing, and the UI REALLY does make a difference. I can't imagine playing without a good UI.

Anyhow, you gotta look at both sides of the UI arguement.

I was surprised to see that there was no update in this awesome thread, and started thinking that Sam actually decided to give up the forums and start levelling.
i check the paly's armory and see level 20 (still), unplayed since October 14th. i check a couple of the shammies, all level 18-19, untouched since October 14.

I then check the soooo awesome website because maybe sam focused on that a bit.. nope still the shitty html display. ow well i guess you're busy with work then Sam, haven't given up have you?
Pity that RAF is ticking (1 month to go maybe?), and the cap wil get to 80 in 2 weeks.
Was there ever a competition going with Prepared? /lol

Don't trust the armory. It is having issues lately and my own gear is not updating properly. It shows that I am still level 64 and gear that I had on over a week ago.

I have not played for awhile.

Getting my 4 new computers up. My other 2 (6 total for gaming) dont need upgrading.

Cloning disks today. One works, 2 are passed bench test, building the 4th.
Moved to XP on these 4; On the one that works I got into wow but can't get into EQ lol ... oh well.

When done Ill have:

9550 main
6400, 6000, 6000 (1920X1200 Screens)
5600, 5600 (1680 X 1050 Screens)

All 4G 800speed ram.

All 9600 512GDDR3 video cards. (no fans)

All with WoW on Raptors.

4 will have XP not sure if I moving from Win2k on my main yet.

And if I need more Ill invest in SSD drives.

All motherboards are first quality and can take 140w Quad Core Athlons AM2+, if I need to upgrade. Either 570 sli or 8200 chipset. No fans. All computers have 600-700 Watt Thermaletake Power Supplies with all fans 120 or 140 size. CPU fan is 120 size. Case fan 120 size. All shark cases.

No more lag 4 me!

Iv spent a LOT of time trying to figure some way to edit Avchd video so I can put my exploits on my web site. You can't belive how hard it is. It seems that you have to reencode and it takes like 12 hours to do 1 hour. I don't know its a real mess right now. I might just play wait and see.

how about the "Be there at the right place, at the right time" thingy? you're about to miss the WOTLK bus Sam, people will be killing bosses at 80 while you'll be bragging on your equipment at level 35 at this speed. Cmon already!

oww does that mean you're letting your EQ toons go...? of course not! you just can't play them on that machine
