Sam DeathWalker going to 36 Box WoW (from current 26), and 24 Box EQ!

Well it is competition, surely if Prepared did not exist I would stop at 26 ...

Hells bells, why stop at 36 then? Go to 100. $1500 per month is nothing, right? Set it up to do 5 per computer - only need 20 computers. So only $10000 worth of computers. 70 amps or so of power, or about $7 an hour. $3000 per month there. Plus the accounts...

Nevermind the fact that you would have 3 raids and nevermind the fact there is no practicality. Nevermind the fact that leveling up would be a pain or that you would have to automate EVERYTHING through macros, etc. And you can't automate everything. You would spend more time just rezzing yourself than anything else. Lets not get started on bandwidth issues (easily overcome though). And cooling.

But in wide scale PVP.... you would level everything. And still get a few picked off. Unless you ran into Prepared.. or another 5 boxer. Who could take out a good amount of your crew if they got a jump on you. Heck, what if somebody rolled a 40 box of mages just to AoE you down. It's not like you are swift and mobile with that many.

I have 5 boxed. I have 10 boxed. I have thought very seriously about 40 boxing. At the point we are talking about, the effort goes up to a ridiculous level and the rewards are about the same. I see little point in going much beyond where Prepared is. I could MAYBE see 40. MAYBE. But beyond that? Why?

But this bump to 36 is the most blatant e-peen waving match I have ever seen.

But it might be worth it if you could one shot buildings in Winterspring :)

All these comments remind me of a story.

But I do agree with most of you. These threads are getting to be more like a little kid saying “Look what I can do!”

If it really makes you happy to do it, then do it. You don’t need our approval for it.
For me, 5 is enough to let me enjoy the game the way I want too.

Maybe if he had some proof that he was accomplishing something with it, but saying that you are and then not backing it up is just plain stupid.

Well I doubt I am going past 36 for sure. I dont have a way to add more then 6 computers total and 7 instances is going to be hard enough as it is.

No Im not playing EQ, but with the Econ crisis I have to spend more time on RL stuffs so I don't have any problems, but I am doing well there.

Ive moved to a quest model from a kill everything that moves so we will see how it goes, doing quests in Ghostland right now. Hopefully that will speed up my leveling. And as stated I have to build 4 more computers soon (ordering the parts in the next few days).

I'm rather conflicted on the topic myself, I admire anyone willing to push the limits but simultaneously find the obvious motive cringeworthy.
